troy murphy is that "do the dirty work" player the heat has been needing all year even if they were to get troy were still bigger but they still have wade/lebron/bosh i mean im HOPING danny gets troy or new orleans matter fact anyone except the heat must get troy ,i dont wanna end up like the 08 detriot team who circumed to the new big 3

oh & lets also hope that rip gets bought out

hamilton & murphy would have to put us over the hump to get banner 18

actually murphy not going to the heat & us getting a backup 3 would put us over the top lol

all in all im happy danny is trying to add quality players who can play not another finly/mikki moore/marbury type edition

Troy is a nice player that I would definitely want but he is no PJ Brown in either ability, presence or size.

What makes you think we need new players to put us over the hump?

We crushed LA when we were near full-strength (still missing DWest and JO). We crushed Miami everytime regardless of who played. We beat SA without Garnett. We are 4-2 against Chicago/Orlando (the two losses coming without Garnett or Rondo). Undefeated against Atlanta/NY.

The only worrisome team is Dallas, but with Shaq/DWest/JO, we beat them. We held sizeable leads late in both L's to them, we can close out better than we have against them.

We just need to get healthy. If JO and 'Quis look like they aren't gonna be back by April, then we can (but not mandatory) look into a roster move.

A lineup of:
Rondo/DWest
Ray/Nate
Pierce/Wafer
KG/BBD
Perk/Shaq/Erden
(Throw in either Bradley or Luke to round out the roster)

...is still good enough to beat any team in a 7 game series.

i think we have to get a backup3 at least a rasual butler or a carlos delfino something of the sort

but idk if anyone herd the news magic are caling the grizz about zach randolf and being that they have a 6.3 mill trade exception they wouldnt have to give much & they can offer more to troy then us

the pressure has to be mounting for danny

Ive never really been a big fan of Murphy and his game... He's always put up semi decent numbers on bad teams, but has never really showed me anything worth falling in love over. Would rather sign a back up three to a vet min and wait for Quis to get back, even if that means we have to cut someone to make room.

Why would the Heat want him?  Aren't he and Mike Miller almost the same player?

A few weeks ago, I didn't think Troy Murphy would be much of a difference maker for any of the contenders - I don't rate his game highly - but after reconsidering Miami, I think Murphy could do some very nice things for Miami offensively.

Troy Murphy could be a good addition for Miami. Help free up Bosh some more in the paint and give Miami even more floor spacing. It's not like they are getting that much out of Ilgauskas or Dampier anyway.

I would not panic.  He is very slow and a poor defender.  He isn't there yet either folks.  Why the heck would the Nets help LeBron after being dissed by him?  Baby is faster than Murphy by a long shot.

He is a better fit with our half court scheme than MIA which is dribble the ball pointlessly and then go one on one for a wild shot.  They still have no one to guard Rondo and no bench per se aside Miller (who didn't impress me the last game at all, 1-5 3P shooting).  Their individual pieces are superb but they are not good team pieces and Murphy would not help them as much as some think.

the nets have nothing to do with murphy after he is bought out which wil likely happen after the trade deadline ,so its just a matter of who he chooses IMO were 3rd on his list

1.orando-more money since they still have thier bi-annual and playing time behind dwight
2.mia-maybe a starter there

Plus, Troy Murphy isn't 38 like P.J. Brown was.  I think Troy goes where he thinks he can raise his value the most.  That won't be here, where he'd be #4 on the depth chart tonight and buried deeper when Shaq returns.  But I'm not sure it's Miami either.

please.. troy murphy isn't changing the deficiencies and limitations of the heat.  i'm convinced the heat's biggest problem is toughness, and it is a serious problem.  you need more than talent to overcome orlando, boston or probably chicago.

then again, I didn't think LA was tough, and I still don't...
