Per Chris Forsberg :

Delonte West got hit on wrist during practice. Will get X-rays. Might not return Wednesday.

I wish it was a running gag but it's not, we really can't get healthy it seems.

Hopefully this isn't a serious set back, can't say I'm too surprised, this was always on the early end of his return prognosis.

You gotta think if this kinda injury happens during a practice, he clearly wasnt ready for a real game.

Doc alluded to him getting through practice without getting hurt so he's been dealing with pain in previous practices.

Hopefully it's not a major setback.

A little update : Word is that Delonte tweaked the wrist reaching to deflect a pass on defense and jamming the fingers. A setback nevertheless.

Unbelievable...

Why not jsut sit him another 2-3 weeks until he's 100%? He'd still have all of March and April to get ready for the plyaoffs, that's plenty of time.

Why rush him back if we're worried about him getting slapped? As you guys said, he obviously isn't ready then. Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.?

if he's feeling pain on deflections why is he playing? I dont understand the need to rush him back for a game against the Nets, especially that game being one right before we go on the All Star break.

I hope this is not a big thing...just caution.  Anyone can jamb fingers, and they are probably being extra careful because of the wrist injury.  As his wrist heals, and until it is limber and he has a full range of motion again, it will probably "give him trouble" even maybe causing him to miss games.  I am not a medical person, but when you suffer an injury, strength takes a while to return...

West said they told him he'd have pain probably until next year.

This team will never be fully healthy during the regular season and in the playoffs. The question is, will it have enough of the right guys to win the championship? We won't know until the first round begins.

Regarding Delonte, it just seems like they may gave been rushing him a little. It also shows that they probably cannot trade Nate, because Delonte is not going to be someone they can depend on for the rest of the year.  :'(

Could be a good thing. A little more rest the bad part is that it could have done more damage. Hopefully its just sore and he can sit out another week and let it heal.
