Wafer's play has been encouraging we need to get someone soon.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

I'd say let Wafer start in place of Paul on Wednesday vs NJ....let him rest entire week - especially if he's going to play in the All-Star game.

I'd love for PAUL to have a nice showing at the All-Star game - in front of his hometown.

Don't let Kobe steal the show, Paul.

Well, West's return should help.  That's not to say he can play the 3, but his return to the 2 should allow Wafer to play even more at the 3 and let Ray slide to the 3 at times (not ideal, but something we've done before).

With Pierce, it depends on the injuries.  There are some injuries that can get worse and others that just take longer to heal if you play through them.  If he has the latter, it sucks, but we can deal.  If he has the former, I suppose we have to sit him.

We'll make the playoffs no matter what at this point, and while I'd like to keep homecourt, a healthy Pierce is even more important.

I could see a scenario where they don't play Pierce against NJ on Wed, especially if West is active.  If Pierce doesn't play against NJ, then they can hold him out of the all star game.  That would be over a week of rest.  I of course can't know what is going on with his injuries but if there is any doubt, I am not worried about 1 NJ game or the all star game (Pierce may feel differently).

Pierce says it's minor...then why does he feel the need to get an MRI? Major oxymoron, IMO.

Hopefully it's nothing serious...I'd like to see him sit out during all-star weekend, but I know that's not gonna happen. Only way to keep Pierce from playing is to cut his legs off...the truth is tough as nails.
