Big props today go to...

... BBD, for coming up huge off the bench.  16 points, and two HUGE free throws.

... Von Wafer, for giving us 14 minutes and 10 points that few were expecting.

... Perk, for coming up huge with 15 points on a day where Pierce and Ray were sub-par offensively.

Expound upon these, or add your own below.  There should be plenty of kudos to go around after this one.

. . . for doing the little things down the stretch that don't show up in the box score in a game where we struggled to score; like Ray having the wherewithall to catch the ball that Lebron tried to save and throw off him, like the beautiful pass and catch from Rondo to Pierce off the inbound on the sideline, like Baby moving his feet to cut off lanes to the basket against James.

Oh, and to Mr. Hobbs for starting this thread.

DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

Roy, agree with all of the above, TP, especially Baby. Baby is CLUTCH. There is a reason he is on the unit Doc finishes games with and not Perk. He can hit shots and key free throws. He loves it, thrives on it.

Maybe he's not a starter, but there aren't many better 6th men than him. And he's versatile: he can body up Dwight and moves his feet well enough to probably lead the league in charges.

Special shout out to the Captain. Pierce gutsed it out despite an injured hand and foot that needs an MRI tomorrow. While points wise, he didn't contribute much, his presence and a few key plays shows how tough he is.

If he didn't play, his absence to a team already reeling from injury would have had a huge negative psychological impact on the team. Thanks again, Captain.

Not a great game for KG, but he hit some big shots when Miami was getting close.

I give the Big Ticket known to some as the jerk these days props for scoring 19pts,points that were needed because Pierce had a poor scoring day.Sometimes KG is to passive with his offense and glad he stepped it up offensively...i give him props for laying one hellava pick(legal)on M.Miller.Talking about getting into heads, that was an instance that lead to getting into Wade's head on the floor which resulted into a flagrant foul.Whether you agree with KG methods or not he was effective in doing what he felt he needed to do.

Ill agree with Roy and give props to Wafer. He gave us huge minutes that were desperately needed. With lack of bodies on the bench, he was able to come in and give a couple starters big breathers and was able to make a significant impact not only with 10 points on offense, but by also being part of a couple steals and a few big defensive plays. Way to go Wafer.

Rondo...for getting under LeBron's skin and showing that a tenacious little man can wreak havoc with his mind.  Thanks Rondo, too, for getting a very timely trip-dub, for just being a leader in general.

Wafer is winning me over.  We still need a defender off the bench, but his play is changing things, so that we can get an 11th man type, and only use them when we really need a defensive presense.  For now, I love having Wafer as a part of the rotation.

He is not a great defender, but he is an aggressive defender who can make plays, and with each game, he seems to be gaining more and more confidence on offense, and morphing back into the guy he was in Houston.
