this begs the proverbial question: what would it take to get Cousins? Would you trade Perk straight up?

Certainly would fit the bill of another legendary Celtic steal..

Yes

if we traded Perk for Cousins straight up, it'd be a steal for the future, but right now it would put us down in Orlando's class as far as contenders are ranked right now.

I could see Dwight eating Cousins alive over the course of a 7 game series.

.....by the way, that was quite possibly the worst commentary in the history of sports highlights in that clip someone posted earlier in the thread.

So tough.  As mentioned, I think it is a huge steal for the future, but really hurts us for our chances this year.  So, I say no and maybe try a sign and trade in the offseason.  Would they want to unload Garcia too?  S&T Perk + a first for Garcia + Cousins??  That's actually not terrible value for either side.  Eh, I doubt Perk would be interested in that though.

I gotta say that I absolutely love Cousins' anger after losses.  I think too many NBA players "are OK with losing" as Amare put it.  I really think some players have a winning mentality and a losing mentality, so some just can't taking losing.  If Cousins is one of them, and we could bring him into a winning atmosphere in Boston and learn under our veterans, I think as he and Rondo continue to develop into stars that they keep this a winning franchise for the next 10 years or so.

They need a team leader but Im not sure who would be up for that job. I dont think many big players are going to be up for taking that role.

What about Stephen Jackson?  Too much craziness on one team?

My thoughts exactly.  I'd much rather have a competitive kid who won't accept losing who wants the ball in crunch time than a mature young player who accepts a losing status quo.

Agreed here.
Yes he needs to grow up, but I won't pretend I'm concerned that he got angry after a loss.

It would be nice to have him in green, learning from KG. We need to pull a Gasol on a Sacramento and make this happen.
