Rondo, Paul, and KG horrible tonight.  Ray was the only one who played halfway decent.

Really puts a damper on Rays record  (Forget what I said earlier obviously it was an overreaction).

Unfortunately Ray's record doesn't mean anything now.

Over reaction at it's best.

Sorry takes a lot of meaning away from it for me.  Now whenever I'll think of Ray getting the record I'll think of us losing to the Lakers.

You're going to think of a regular season game loss whenever you think of an all time NBA record?

I think that's over reacting quite a lot...I feel just as bad about the loss but nothing is going to dampen Ray's historic feat.

I was agreeing with you up until that point. Now I just can't take you seriously.

Of course it's not, but it will always be connected to losing against LA now for me unfortunately.

Obviously an over reaction by me.

Ray shouldn't have felt the need to go out and try to get it in the first quarter.  We really could've used that lift towards the end of the game.  We were really killing them but we peaked too early.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

I think Doc was looking for Ray early and wanted Ray to get the record early to get it out of the way.

Nobody let anybody down.

When Ray Allen got in foul trouble, normally we'd have Marquis Daniels - another drafty, above average defender - to throw at Kobe.  Instead, we had to rely on Wafer, who for all of the effort he displayed tonight just isn't ready for that kind of challenge.  The team had to help Von in the post and it threw off the entire defensive scheme, leading to offensive boards and open looks at the basket.

When Perk got tired, we should have Shaq, JO or even Erden to spell him.  Instead, he had to stay out there and play more minutes than anybody wanted.

Credit the Lakers for this one.  The best way to beat a thin team is to get them in foul trouble.  They did that to us tonight, and it worked.  Nobody let anybody down.  We just got beaten by a healthy, talented team.

I agree with this. I would have rather him got the record on a buzzer beater. That would have been sweet  ;D

I had a feeling all of this record breaking nonsense was going to become bigger than the game, and it did. What's done is done. We need to focus on bringing in some new blood and getting healthy.

Von Wafer can play in these games.  He did it in Houston in '08-'09 when the Rockets took LA to game 7.

Did people not watch the West that year?

Nobody seems to remember what Wafer did then.

Oh and I'm sorry I think Rondo, KG, and Paul played like garbage so they did.

What? One has nothing to do with the other.

I have to ask, did you guys really think Boston would win tonight? With all the people hurt, with Paul sick and LA being mad about the last loss? I know we all HATE LA but they don't suck.

I'm not saying a W was impossible tonight. But I'd not put my money on it.
Peace through Tyranny
