Huh ... strange to see Sloan leaving in the middle of the season.

I wonder why he didn't finish out the year. I hope his health is alright.

Wow. TrueHoop was speculating about the end of last night's game. A discussion between coach and management delayed the post-game presser for 30 minutes.

I presume Tyrone Corbin will take over. The Jazz seemed quite high on him as Jerry Sloan's eventual successor a few years ago.

Wha?  Why?

There's got to be some (probably sad) reason behind this.

Wow.  Honestly, after seeing the way they laid down against the C's earlier this year, I am not too surprised.

With the unwillingness of management to put forth the money to field an entire championship team, I can certainly see how Sloan just had enough.

unfortunately...

i think they will be forced into a decision like this anyway...

whether it is TA or not...

if there a league min or vet min player out there...

how much do we really think they are going to help...

i think DA knows this...

that is why he already talked about trade...

if not TA, then who?

Yeah, this doesnt make much sense... Are we sure they don't mean Jerry Sloan to re-sign...An extension. I just find it hard to believe that the longest tenured coach in the NBA would leave at the drop of a hat.

They are saying one of his best friends and assistant coaches is resigning too, so its probably a big rift with management.

Im just boggled by this. I've read it from cbs and on nba.com and I just cant wrap my brain around the idea of this being possible. Maybe we'll see a major trade but I dont know why that would make Sloan step down. Sloan was probably pushing for different players that hit his system better.
