so KG being the hot topic lately, i found this very interesting post in the Lakers Blog. i was surprised to see many Lakers fans actually comparing KG on court behavior to Kobe's.

KG has to be most talked about celebrity/sportsperson of the year thus far.

Ainge and Ray on this (non)issue.

Quote
"I don't even comment on that stuff," said Ainge. "It's just so insignificant. I will just say this one thing about KG: There's not a team in the league that wouldn't die to have him, and there's not a coach or general manager in the league, or fans, that wouldn't wish that every one of their players played like Kevin Garnett. And that's all I'll say about it."

Quote
Allen, among the game's most respected players, said Garnett's on-court image doesn't necessarily match what you'd find off the court.

"I always said with certain guys in the league, you have your on-court persona and then you have your off-court [persona]," said Allen. "You don't really have to be liked when you're playing basketball. You just want to win games and you want everybody to be afraid of your team because you guys are tough. So, I'd take that any day over somebody thinking that we were soft and you could run us over and you could beat us up because we're either a small team or a soft team. Nobody can mistake us for that, so I like having him on my side."

This subject has seriously bled to death now...time to stop all this KG talk/threads.

...and who cares what Lakers fans have to say about a Celtics player...just the fact that KG is a Celtic will invoke hate and dispise in them.

The comments section was hilarious. One voice or reason shouting in the dark. It would be like if someone make a "Kobe is a tool" fanpost, and I went in there and said "He might be a tool, but the only guy remotely on his level in the league in terms of passion and mental toughness is KG."

what a stupid piece of writing. Completly bias. To say he hopes ron artest beats him up. and im sick of this 'tough guy act' its not an act and it hasnt just started since he won a ring. His been like this since twolfs and his not going to change. His playing basketball, his not going to actualy beat up on guys. He plays the game legaly(although he strectches the rules)otherwise he would get called for much more. Currently he is a top 3 PF. Take into consideration his minutes and wins rather than stats and i'd put him right behind Tim Duncan, above Amare. Everyone needs to stop winging, basketball is a contact sport get over it

Exactly...calling KG a dirty player etc. while hoping that Ron Artest, the director of brawl in the palace, beats him up is ridiculous to put it mildly.

LOL at Kobe not doing things to other players! I remember him putting his hands on Rondo, and then shoving his finger in rondo's face. In fact i have video evidence to show lots of it!
