Lebron and Amare would have been better?

 Maybe they Compliment each other better than Wade does.

 I think Amare is maybe the only fairly young Superstar that could actually put Lebron in his place,and be the Big brother  that Lebron so desperately needs.

 Which is a factor of him choosing Miami Wade and fake tough guy Chris Bosh, would NEVER dare challenge Lebron and coach SPO, come on what a wimpy young coach.

 So lets look at the Roster if he took his talents North.

 C Amare PF Gallanari SF James SG L Fields PG Felton

 Throw in Chandler, and Tony Douglas that's a fun team to watch this year, and although not as good most likely as Miami this year.

 With Chris Paul or Carmelo joining that team and you know Dantoni would love a frontline of Amare, Lebron, and Carmelo.


 The point is it's Amare that makes that team go right now, and I'm really impressed by his Leadership some one that can stand up yo the "king" is crucial And then there one More player away from being a Dynasty type team.

I would have loved to have seen LeBron join NY. They was my favourite destination for him.

Set up a rivalry between NY and Miami, between LeBron + Amare and Wade + Bosh, for the next 5-8 years.

LeBron in D'Antoni's uptempo offensive orientated system with Wade in Riley's slow it down slug it out defensive system. A great contrast in styles.

These two teams meeting each other year after year in the playoffs. Seven game series galore. It would have been fantastic.

Yes... the team that NY has put together would have been a better fit for lebron. They would have great depth at 2-3-4. Think of a lineup with felton,chandler,galinari,james and amare running the floor not much D but alot of scoring and alot of size.


and I really dont like lebron and dont like super stars pushing there way out to bigger markets but if it had to happen I thought it would be great for the league to have lebron and amare to pair up and bosh and wade to pair up

I don't think they would have signed Felton if they got Lebron.  I don't think they would have had that much cash leftover.  I believe Felton was a back up plan when they only got Amare and no one else.

Who needs to put LeBron in his place, he's the best player in the game.

Not signing Felton isn't a huge loss, look at how his production has tappered off. He's an okay PG, but nothing special.

Amar'e is playing essentially as well as he did in Phoenix this year. The only real change is that he's trying a bit harder on defense, and initating the offense more often.

So now he plays more minutes, is less efficient, and takes a few more shots. But overall he's the same player, take a look:

Adding LeBron would boost his efficiency back up and reduce his shots, but he'd still be just as productive. (if not more imagine a line up with LeBron at the 4 and Amar'e at C....)

I'm very confused by this post.  The Heat are .5 games behind the Celtics for home court advantage in the East.  And since the early season struggles, which were more a result of Wade missing the entire preseason, the Heat have been the best team in basketball (and that includes missed time by Lebron, Bosh, and Wade at various points).  Lebron is 2nd in the NBA in points per game, 12th in assists (1st among SF's), 14th in steals (3rd among SF's), 26th in rebounds (2nd among SF's), and is a pretty darn efficient shooter.  I'm not sure how much better he could be or if he could really be in a better position.

I don't think they'd be markedly better because Stoudemire needs the ball too much.  Also Stoudemire doesn't get many star calls....ala Wade.  The star calls and non-calls the messiah and Wade get combined are worth probably 12-15ppg.

On one play in last night's game I watched the poster boy illustration of what's wrong with the NBA.  I replayed it 3 times for effect.

Wade, in front of 2 officials, flagrantly traveled on the way to the basket and missed a shot.  The messiah came flying in over the back of a Pacer who had position to jam the rebound.

I dont think Amare would put Lebron "in his place" but I certainly would have loved to see him go to NY over Miami. Would have recreated a great rivalry.

Also, If Lebron goes to NY with Amare, I dont think Melo follows them. Having those three one the same team would look great on paper but I wouldnt be a supporter of have Melo or Bron playing the power forward spot.
