Everyone is taking KG for GRANTED! How quick we forget the pre-KG era...

Wow just wow. How can anyone criticize Kevin Garnett after  breaking our seemingly endless string of bad luck . He plays with heart, passion and genuinely wants to win at all costs. Why do players have to be some cookie cutter standard on the court? Why constantly harp on such a unique player? Sit back and enjoy it because when he's gone you are going to miss it all- -the antics, the defense and maybe even the winning  .... I am so grateful I have been able to watch KG transform the Celtics into a team feared by other NBA teams and consistent championship contenders. His trash talking, craziness is harmless and within the game. I wish fans would grow up and stop crying that he cursed in the game or nudged another player to get under his skin .... in the words of TOMMY: it's absolutely LUDICROUS!!!

I agree.  I think people are forgetting too, and therefore taking him for granted.
Which will end when he's gone, and people will revert to being full on KG supporters...

Boston may be a little tame for this guy....people here like a little less wild.
I don't love everything he does, but I'm not about to discuss it.  I'd rather just root.  I'm so thankful this guy ended up in Green.

I'd rather discuss his personality after he's gone...not get in his grill during a championship run.

I don't see a problem pointing out something you're not too happy about with a player on your favorite team. When you do that it's not saying you don't like the guy.

Paul Pierce is one of my all time favorite Celtic players and even he's p---ed me off before. But just because he's done that doesn't mean I don't like him.

I don't see many people taking KG for granted.  Almost every criticism I see of him by Celtics fans contains some acknowledgment that he's been a phenomenal player, and that they support him.

As Onslaught said, I think it's possible to cheer for a guy, while at the same time pointing out some of his flaws, etc.  There's no doubt that KG has done a ton for this franchise, but at the same time it's possible to be grateful to KG, and also critical of some of his actions.
