I have them as a top tier team, their's a elite tier, who are title contenders. Top tier, good but not title contenders. Mid tier, 1st round playoff team. Low tier, doesn't make the playoffs. But that's just my system.

They're second-tier, fringe championship contender, but they're teetering toward third, very good playoff teams.

Tier 1:
Celtics
Lakers
Heat
Spurs

Tier 2:
Mavs (debatable, could be 1)
Bulls
Magic

Really only because they've gotten out of the East before at this point.  And they took a lot of losses right before the trades.

I see the possibility of them getting hot and making some noise in the playoffs. It looks like the same team with a few better shooters when they're hot.If i was the owner i would get rid of Otis Smith first good opportunity and J.Nelson next in a trade for a good passing pg.They're not maximizing all of Dwight's strengths for the entire time he's on the court.

Didn't see this thread.  Will post what I posted in the other Magic thread.
_____

Magic started the season 16-10, so Otis Smith shook things up.  Magic are 16-10 since the trade.  Time to shake things up again, because nothing has changed.

Who was it on the Atlanta Hawks that said after the trade that the Magic were the same team as before the trade, but with different players?  It was spot on.

I would add New Orleans and OKC to Tier 2.

And the Bulls up to tier 1. I think the top tier has a lot of teams. There are a lot of teams that can contend this year. Last year you could tell it was gonna be either Celitcs, Magic, Cavs vs the Lakers. This year it could be any. I;m excited for the playoffs. Should be some awesome games.

Yeah, you can't discount the Bulls.  #1 defense in the league despite missing Noah for most the year, plus the offensive firepower of Rose and Boozer (and Deng, to some extent).

Bulls scare me more than the Heat....
