Rondo @ Cheescake Factory Last Night- You gotta LOVE Rondo

So my co-worker Jasmin took her sister out to the Cheesecake Factory Burlington last night to celebrate her sister's 25th Birthday. And her sister is a huge Rondo Fan. They sit down at a table, and low and behold, Rondo is sitting at a corner table with one of his buddies.

Jasmine, the extrovert that she is, of course had to go up to Rondo to say hi. So she goes up to Rondo's table, and just as Rajon was about to put ketchup on his burger, Jasmin tells Rondo that she was sorry for interrrupting, but that her sister is his biggest fan, that it's her birthday today, and would it be ok if he took a picture with her sister. Rajon says, "of course tell her to come on over". They take a bunch of pictures, Rajon gives the sister a hug, and wishes her a great birthday.

The girls go back to their table, and of course this made the birthday girl's night already. At the end of the meal, the waitress asks the girls if they wanted dessert or coffee. Jasmine and her sister just ask for the check, and the waitress replies "No you are all set, MR. RONDO took care of the bill".

I think Rondo made this girl's year.

I have to say though, that if 20 years from now in an Antoinesque story I hear Rondo is broke I will think of this.

Not sure about Rondo living in Burlington. But I do know that the Cheesecake Factory is a frequent hot spot for Celtics players. My friend and I saw our former 15th man-Michael "Yogi" Stewart eating at the Chestnut Hill Cheescake Fact. with his wife and kids back in like 2006 we wished him good luck with the season. I don't think he made it through that season.

That's an awesome story.  I feel sympathy for athletes when they complain about being interrupted for autographs at dinner.  It's really cool that rather than get irritated, Rondo went above and beyond.
