Mildly irritating/humorous political correctness from Stern and Co - $25K for the "big balls" thing?.

In a somewhat amusing and interesting-in-comparison (and very salacious) sidebar, check out the PETA suberbowl ad story on the same link - girls in bikinis kissing and fondling various vegetables!
(Scroll down until the story appears)

Somehow I doubt we will see this during Sunday's big game...

Actually I agree with Stern and the league on this one (never thought I'd say that).  What Eddie did was way over the top.  Not only that, but he kept doing it on the sideline during the timeout that followed.

Frankly, I don't want to see kids immitating a gesture that they may not even get.  The NBA has tried to make their games more family friendly and if this is your business model, you do not need your players doing a pantomime of "Hey, I have a big sack...look!"

I'm with you on this... I was actually grossed out by this.  I couldn't help but get a mental image and it wasn't a very good one.

Hahaha.  I thought it was funny.  Sam Cassell was the originator of that correct?  Everytime he hit a big shot he would let everyone know that it was cuz he has the big balls to take it.

I can see why one would be grossed out by it tho.

I agree as well. There is no need for actions like that when young kids basically mimic everything they see these guys do on TV. The last thing I need on my 11 year old team is one of my kids to do this in a game. I love House, but I sure hope he'd be upset if Little House was doing that in his City league...

reminded me of Major League II where the Japanese guy tells Cerrano (the cuban voodoo guy) that he needs to get his balls back to start hitting again.  They did that same stupid dance thing House did like five times in that movie.

Nothing to see here, wrong by Eddie House to do something so over the top as he did.

Buuuuuutt!

Its Eddie House, even though he's playing for the Heat i still cant stop cheering for that guy, i think he'll take that fine any day if that gives his coaching staff some confidence in bringing him on the court.

Cassell's was sooo much better.  You need the alternating heights like his, haha!  Is there a clip of it anywhere on the internet?  I can't find it on youtube and know I've looked tirelessly several times before

I thought it was hilarious but knew he'd probably be fined, the reaction from a couple women in the front row was priceless " OMG did you see that gesture, in the lower region area he's swinging his......arms. Oh my god Karen they are now shouting expletives, and happy about it."

Also Sporlstra in the end so that's the Big Balls Dance look at him almost pause in the end LOL

Oh I guess it was Major League not Major League II.  I forgot how funny that movie was, I might have to watch it again this weekend.

Anyway, that is the first time I recall the big "marble" dance.
