C'est Une Trade:

Phoneix trades: Ben Wallace and Elton Brand

Denver trades: Nene and Charlie V

Absolute steal for Phoenix.  Nene is the best player in the deal and Charlie V is far superior to Ben at this point in his career.

It was more about fit then anything for me. I had way to many bigs that were shooters and not interested on the defensive end. By adding Wallace and brand I get a defensive center and a pf/C who can score in the post and complements baby and blache very well.

I can understand your logic, but Nene is regarded around the league as being one of the better man defenders in the paint, and no slouch on the help side. Nene's biggest knock is that he can't block shots at the rates that other high impact defensive players do.

Honestly I think from Big Ben to Nene is a downgrade on both offense and defense.
And that his defensive effort has been inconsistent at best over the past 18 months.

I haven't been reading that stuff, and haven't noticed it when I've watched Nuggets games.
Nene's inconsistent effort defensively was/is the main reason Denver's defense has dropped off from 08-09 (8th def eff) to 09-10 (16th).

It was a secondary cause, after K-Mart's absence, to their poor showing (22nd def eff) this season.

Nene doesn't compete as hard defensively as he is used. He coasts far too often.

A little late with the 9.13 here, but OKC is selecting Randy Foye
Very nice pick. Foye is an excellent third string combo guard.

That's fine and everything..I'm just saying I havent' seen that or heard it elsewhere.

And if the Nuggets are suffering that bad, I'd say the primary issue is that they don't know whether or not they're going to be on the team in 2 weeks.

What was the cause last season?

The thin air in colorado?

I'm just saying, I haven't noticed a lack of effort from Nene..I'm basing this on 4-5 games this season where I've watched a half or more, and their playoff series last season.

The Los Angeles Clippers, looking to add another young shot-blocker to groom under defensive specialist Kenyon Martin, select:

Ekpe Udoh!! (If he's still available!)

Udoh has been very impressive defensively so far.

Needs to do more on the boards and show that midrange jumper he supposedly has ... but hopefully that will come in time.

Player list is up to date.  For those keeping count, there are no more Y players available.  On the bright side the Q list still has the full complement it started out with (and no, I'm not talking Quentin Richardson).

And for the sake of completeness I added Orien Greene to the list.  ;D
