I've got 8:00 on my clock.  Too early for me to go?

I like Gortat a lot, but I think thats too early for him to go.

moi aussi.

I don't know.  If Noah can go #2 overall, then I don't think #26 is out of whack for Gortat at all.  There is a premium on centers, and Gortat has looked great lately (and between he and Noah, Gortat has the one who has been healthy the past two years.)

well, 8:00 has come and gone so I'm going to jump in with the last (timely) pick of the 1st round and take Chris Kaman.

With my very late pick, I'll be taking Corey Maggette.

If you have any trades, submit/remind me about them now.

I won't validate any trades that do not have confirmation from both parties.

I'll be selecting the BPA for any picks that are still missing at 10PM. Good talk.

So, hypothetically speaking, a trio of Gasol, Chauncey, and Kobe wouldn't be a bad "big three" to start with.

He's been healthy, but he also averaged under 20 minutes as a backup center w/ Orlando. And he's looked good in Phoenix, but for at the end of the day, all we've seen is 2 weeks of solid play out of him

The new-look Sixers are sorry to see Iggy go but are happy to have their backcourt of the future and feel this trade is a win-win for both parties.

Well, it's not like Gortat just burst onto the scene.  Dallas gave him a full MLE deal, and Phoenix gave up decent value for him.  He's looked great in limited minutes for multiple years.  However, he was a backup to the best center in the NBA, so of course minutes were limited.  Many people predicted he would break out when given minutes, and that's exactly what he has done.

On a per-minute basis, his points, rebounds, and blocks are all very similar to Noah's.

Trades:

1)
Sac sends: Tyreke Evans
Philly Sends: Andre Igoudala

I like this one for Philly.  Basically, Iggy is an older, less dynamic Tyreke with more defense but less of everything else.  I think Sacramento probably could have done better, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

2)
Washington Sends: JaVale McGee
Memphis Sends: 2nd round pick

I'm not sure what I think of this.  I'd like to think that Washington could have gotten more value for one of its keepers than a mid-second, but maybe that's just not the case.  It's probably fair value, with the only question on whether Washington could have gotten more value for a better keeper, or whether Memphis could have gotten McGee later.  It's a toss up.

3)
CHI trades:  Chauncey Billups, 2.24, 7.24
LAL trades:  Marcin Gortat, 2.26, 6.26

I like this one for both teams. ;)  Word on the street is that LA wanted to jump in front of nemesis The Walker Wiggle out of fear that he might steal Chauncey, so this paid off.  I like both Chauncey and Gortat as building blocks for their respective teams.

4)
Utah Trades: Al Jefferson
Charlotte Sends: Zach Randolph

Randolph is a better player, plays better defense and is healthier.  While chemistry with Randolph is a concern, there have been some vague rumblings that Big Al hasn't been the best fit in the various locker rooms he has occupied in his NBA career, either.

Snap judgements:

Sac sends: Tyreke Evans
Philly Sends: Andre Igoudala

This is a great move by Sacramento with Curry in place. Evans may prove to be the bigger talent, but Iguodala brings some maturity and defense to the Kings.

A lateral move for Philly? Evans is better suited to being a first option. But he hasn't had the sophomore season most expected; and he's been quietly tuning out his coach and breaking plays more often than I'd want to see.

Washington Sends: JaVale McGee
Memphis Sends: 2nd round pick

TBD. If Gortat is worth a late 1st round pick, McGee is worth a mid-2nd rounder. That said the Grizzlies biggest need certainly isn't back up center.

CHI trades:  Chauncey Billups, 2.24, 7.24
LAL trades:  Marcin Gortat, 2.26, 6.26

Another question mark. Not sure why Chicago makes this deal with Noah manning the middle? Gortat is arguably a reach while Billups was a clear BPA. The picks swapping hands are inconsequential.

Utah Trades: Al Jefferson
Charlotte Sends: Zach Randolph

The most even deal of the four. Jefferson edges out Randolph. But some will feel differently.

Chicago's keepers were Boozer and Rose.  I think the Bulls wanted a good center to plug in next to Boozer, especially after seeing the (unfounded ;)) criticism the Fake Kings got in the CB Draft for not having a strong defense-first center next to Booze Hound.

We kept Boozer over Noah, so we needed a C
