The Memphis Grizzlies select Luol Deng

Gay to play the 2?
Or Deng to play the 4?

Edit: Ah, answered already, the two spot. Good wing combo.

That's a great pick up for Philadelphia.

That's the easiest TP you'll ever make  :)

I like Odom's game overall and he contributes to our team length.  And I think he's shown this year that he can keep up his productivity when given starter's minutes.  The downside is that it means I have Lamar Odom on my team.

Honestly the main reason I took Zach Randolph (who has his own issues to be sure) over Odom is that I simply hate Odom --- esp in his current Laker incarnation: *TOTAL* frontrunner... loves to yap & get in your face, stick out his tongue, etc, when his team is doing well, then disappear when they're not.

I just wanted no part of that. He's got skillz but I just can't stand him. A.Bynum or even Fisher I could deal with but forget Odom!

(BTW, its getting to the point at times that I'd feel this way about KG if he wasn't on the Celtics.... I can look the other way if a guy is in green. But KG totally punched Frye in the ... uh... region and then acted like "what?! what  did i do?!?". Not cool).

Uh, oh. Didn't this come up last time?

Eh, wasn't a big deal last time. And if someone cares that much I can cut and paste my arguments for them.

  • I left Indiana. Because it was horrible.
Guess I'm gonna jump TheAuerbach, if it's cool. If not, I apologize in advance.

Houston takes:

Tony Parker

So shocked that he lasted this long.  I had him in the top 5 of available players.  The only reason he was not on my short list is Wall is my PG.

I honestly forgot about him and skipped over him on the available players list twice before figuring it out. Then I realized that no Spur had been picked and that regardless of player I'd just take whoever was unprotected out of the big 3. Turned out it was Parker, so...nice.
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

Does TheAuerbach get assigned the best player based on PER before the next pick is due, after the break?

Or does he continue to get skipped throughout the rest of the round?

And you can still be wrong.  ;)

I don't necessarily have a problem with those two playing together, I am just curious to see how you fill out the rest of the roster.  While Gay and Deng might not be a bad fit together, I don't think they are a great fit.  And now, you still have some huge holes to fill.

After watching all of my top remaining players flying off the board I just want to tell all of you that are picking ahead of me, you suck. :(

I'll be left petitioning for the reinstatement of Mark "Skippy" Blount before this is over just to have a warm body to pick   :P

I believe the way the rules read is that if the pick got skipped, the pick is still "PICK AT ANYTIME" for the skipped GM until 10 pm.

at that point IP will pick for that team based on PER.

so the GM can still come in until the end of the round and get their guy, but at a certain point IP will use PER -- just not during the round.

Golden State looking more like a 30-win team, if TheAuerbach doesn't show up soon.

Is it safe to assume you'll use judgement when using PER... for example Mustafah Shakur (in his 4 gms with WAS this year) has a higher PER than Joakim Noah.

I can. That's right around my work-time mid-afternoon nap.
