I was just reading through the rules again...is this right?!? I must have missed it the first time through.

This is the draft thread. The rules are simple, and the draft is laid back.

Picks:

1) Pick times are posted in the draft post, which is 2 posts after this one. Active drafting times are between 10 am and 1:10PM, and 6PM and 10 PM.
2) Picks can be submitted either a) when the pick previous is made, or b) when the pick previous goes beyond its alloted time.
-example, if I'm picking 2nd, I can either pick after the first pick is made, or if for some reason Start Orien sleeps in, I can pick after 11:00 am. If the player before you misses his time, you can skip him.
3) There should be no picks made between 10pm and 9am (as in don't start the next round too early), or between 1:10 PM and 5PM (as in respect the breaks).
4) If you can't make a draft time for some reason, please have someone else have your proxy.
5) If someone misses a pick completely for a day, the best player available will be assigned by me at 10PM. BPA will be decided by PER.
6) If it's your birthday, you get an extra pick in the 7th round.
7) If you start to miss picks repetitively, a replacement will be found.

No, I had Mark Blount do it... he's the Charlotte BOBCATZZ'S VP in Charge Of Mailing-It-In.

Did you not get it? Funny, Blount didn't either.

That was pretty funny.

OK the BOBCATZZ are gonna take

Marreese Speights

a mercurial talent who should have stayed at UF another year or 2, but who we're hoping will reach his potential working with CHA big man coach Clifford Ray.

Well since I think IP isnt here, I am respectfully going to post an agreed to trade since it involves an upcoming pick

Phx sends
JJ Hickson, Ron Artest, 7.13

Minn sends
Ben Wallace, Antawn Jamison, Aaron Afflalo

I am the commissioner, and I approve this trade.

Sorry guys, work comes first and it has absolutely stunk today.

Thanks, IP.

Nice pick.

I see the Bobcatzz have added another Z to their name. By the end of the draft, how many will they have?

The Sixers are looking for defense and versatility off the bench at the wing, and so will take Tony Allen, aka OJ Mayo Kryptonite.

Here's Tony doing what he does best (non-Bourre category):

Ah memories...so strange that the Finals were only 5 games last year.

A shame the Sixers and Suns will only tangle twice this coming season.

Nevertheless, OJ has circled both dates in his calendar. Or are those dentist's appointments? I don't know.

Hehe, thanks for the endorsement...I don't think he'd've made it to you even if I passed though.

He probably wouldn't.  Everyone's killing me this round with their picks.  So far, I think I've gotten surprisingly better players than I expected at the end of each round but I think I'm going to start sucking wind this round   >:(

Anyone struggling for a pick: Funkcity's offering a 7.21, 9.1 and a funky fist pound to move up.
