Rondo was playing like trash the first half today, he proved how good he is in the second.

Sidenote but I think our guys need to do a better job coming to the ball, too many turnovers are caused when one of our players is trapped and they end up just throwing the ball away to the nearest teammate.

It seems like Rondo's offensive game this year is almost completely based on his intelligence. He doesn't utilize his speed as much (before, he scores by getting to the basket, and now he's taking mostly jump shots). He doesn't use his athleticism - he doesn't try to draw contact when in the paint, he rarely finishes contested fast breaks by himself, and other than against Bosh, he doesn't attempt to dunk. He doesn't pull stuff from his old bag of flashy tricks such as the behind the back passes and ball fakes. It's kind of amazing how effective Rondo has been despite not playing the same style as postseason Rondo...

I think this year we have more offensive weapons then before, and that he knows getting guys more involved is what this team needs.

Also, he is an assist chaser, so he naturally is going to want someone else to hit the shot rather then himself, basically hes only going to "want to score" if hes embarassed into shooting, or if he has to, but its a last resort type of thing.

Its amazing that we are so good even with him having that attitude.

I don't know.  I would say that we are so good, in large part, because he has that attitude.

I think it has at times been a boon (esp when Ray, KG, and Baby are hitting their jumpers..Pierce creates a lot of his own shots), and at times it's been a hindrance.

Rondo doesn't look for his own shot, especially trying to get to the hoop and use his explosiveness nearly as much as I'd like. I don't know if that is because he doesn't trust his own explosiveness, or because he doesn't feel like he has it every possession, or because of something else.
