If the Celtics play like this today for the rest of the year, they will win the championship. Just imagine when the Celtics get back all their players from injuries. They will be even stronger. The Celtics came through big time today. This was the game they wanted to win on this road trip, and they won it big time. What a great 2nd half, and particularly the 4th quarter. Kevin Garnett completely outplayed Mister Softee Pau Gasol. Ray Allen and Paul Pierce made major contributions to the team victory. They also played great defense. Joe Crawfraud managed to make at least 2 bad calls, that allowed the Lakers to come back. But that is why Joe Crawfraud is there to do. He is a David Stern stooge. He ought to retire and stay home and drink beer. Wasn't it great that Bryant scored 41 points and lost. How did you like the way Bryant threw his shoulders into Pierce twice in 1 play and Pierce got called for the foul. How did you like the flying elbow Bryant threw at Ray Allen and it wasn't called. I am very pleased with this Celtic victory today. Get ready in a few weeks for game 2 against the Lakers.

They definitely have stepped up against the league's best all year.

The Big 3 and Rondo are giving us as good or better than the `07 team.  They are seasoned with each other and have their health this year (KG's bang up doesn't appear as though it will be a huge setback). They have the depth to endure all of the nicks they've had.

Pierce is having an unbelievable season.

Perk's back.

If we get em all together I agree with the title of this thread, but we need the starters healthy come Spring.
Yup

We have a heckuva lot of work in front of us. There are holes in our game that need to be patched. Plus how good are the Lakers really? I think our best beats their best as shown today but are we good enough to take out Miami at full strength? Can we get better than today? How about Jermaine O'Neal for instance? There is a lot that can go wrong as we know.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

Miami scares me more then any team and I am well aware of their record against 500 or better teams. Any team with that kind of athleticism and offensive firepower can win a couple of games they shouldnt in a seris and a couple that they shoul too. That being said, bring em on.
