Durant: Bosh among NBA’s ‘fake tough guys’

Kevin Durant(notes) drew a rare technical foul for jawing with Miami’s Chris Bosh(notes) in the first quarter of their game Sunday. And he wasn’t done talking.

When asked about it after the game, Durant had more harsh words for Bosh.

“I was talking to my teammate and he decided he wanted to put his 2 cents into it. I’m a quiet guy, a laid-back guy, but I’m not going to let nobody talk trash to me. He’s on a good team now, so he thinks he can talk a little bit,” Durant said.

“There’s a lot of fake tough guys in this league and he’s one of them,” Durant added.

yeah, well i'll stick up for Bosh here..
leave it on the court Kevin.. don't become another
Charlie Villanueva.

nothing wrong with Bosh getting tough.
I like Bosh as a player, always have.

Not me.  Bosh is a 3rd rate player, exactly where he belongs.  Good for Durant for calling him out.

Yeah, I agree. It all happened on the court, so leave it there.

I think the whole 'tough' thing is lame anyway. Unless you are talking about a player's toughness on the court (hustle, giving up your body, crashing the boards, etc), I really don't want to hear it. Being hyper-masculine doesn't make you tough, being a good player does.

As for the Bosh-hate. He is what he is: a very skilled player who can put up good numbers. He's not a third-rate player. For a championship team, he probably needs to be the third best, but he is excellent and an an asset to any team...he just happens to be on a team we all hate now.

There is a little difference though. Charlie tweeted it while KD was asked what happened by the reporter.

Also, if you read that article, he does say that he has no problem with Bosh off court (calls him a cool dude in the same conversation)..unlike CV who wanted to meet KG in a boxing ring.
