Of all the injuries that a person can have to the thigh, (and it's connecting tissues), a contusion is the least serious, and one of the quickest to recover from. From what I've read and what Paul said following the game, (and taking into account how Doc and Danny are being overly-cautious with injuries this year), I'd be surprised if Pierce isn't in the starting lineup at the Staples Center.

But now that we know it was a charlie horse, does anyone else find it kinda weird that Pierce didn't tough it out? He's usually a warrior bout stuff like that

"Pierce said that it started hurting in the third quarter, but he played through it until the final two minutes before heading back to the locker room."

The game was over when he left in the 4th.

It is a knee bruise, not a thigh. Has any team, other than Portland had worse injury luck than the Celtics? I suppose you have to throw Houston in there also. It was so sickening listening to the commentators cry about how all of the injuries have hurt Miami this year and caused them to lose 5 out of their last 7 or 8 or something like that. What? Last night they have supposedly two of the league's best 5 players in the game on the floor and they still cannot beat the Knicks. Shutup about the Heat injuries -- Please.

Yeah, the major Boston sites now have it listed as a knee bruise. I'm not sure where they thigh tweets came from last night.

Um, Mike Miller missed the first two months of the season due to his thumb. Udonis Haslem is out, possibly for the season. LeBron missed games with a sprained ankle and now Bosh may be out for two weeks. How is this not comparable with the Celtics?

Getting Haslem back would be a very big deal for the Heat. No longer having to use Joel Anthony who's become a laughing stock on offense would help them a lot.
