Big 3 post retirement

So while watching the game my buddy and I are debating what Paul, Ray and Kev will do with themselves when they finally retire. He thinks they'll all walk away from the NBA forever, but I think they are all way too passionate about the game to do that. What do you guys think?

I don't see KG doing anything in the NBA after retirement. Too intense.

I can see Ray getting involved with NBATV or something like that.

Not sure about Pierce. He wants to be on TV, but I don't think he has the communication skills.

I could easily see KG as an assistant coach somewhere after a year or two away from basketball. Intense players can be good coaches..look at Larry Bird.

Bird never wants to coach again. Was a bad fit, though he was a good coach.

That was my point on KG. A little too much for a head coach, but could be really great as an assistant, really get young players going. And the pregame speeches he would deliver...

I think Pierce has expressed interest in front office type stuff. He can be a Celtics great-turned-GM just like Kevin McHale....

Ray is way too big/popular to be on NBA TV. Maybe ESPN for a little while but he could easily be a color commentator on ABC or a coach down the line. He said he wants to stay in Boston post career and I believe him. Best out of the three for TV thats for sure, since he's the only one that can talk normal.

All 3 of these guys have enough money for 100 lifetimes, so I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't take on any demanding jobs such as coaching or GM. Both Ray and Paul are very active in the community and charities so they just may continue that and relax. They say KG does not like the public spotlight but maybe he'll change after retiring.  At the very least I'm sure Pierce will serve as a special consultant to the C's; a gig that's given to many of the C's greats; JoJo, Bill, Havlecik etc.

Post Retirement for the Big Three
1.Paul has said he might consider taking his family overseas and play a few extra yrs.
2.KG (playing in China)
3.I could see Danny training Ray for future GM position(passing the torch).
