Hi Cbloggers!

I have been on vacation since 1/15 with zero access to the internet. Can anyone fill me in on how the C's looked since then. I know they went 3-1 and that last night's game was a typical get comfy after jumping out to a big lead Celtics special.

Beyond the box scores which I already read, I want to know what you guys saw.

1. Looks like KG is O.K. He is scoring and getting to the line. How is his running and jumping? Any drop off from what we saw earlier pre injury? His rebounding is down. Any particular reason why?

2. Rondo's assists are down a bit. Are they playing differently? The ball not in Rondo's hands as much? Pierce handling the ball more?

3. Shaq out again with another nagging injury. How has Erden looked? Its been a while since he logged siginifcant minutes.

4. Big Baby. Still taking bad shots?

5. Nate. Looks like he is still struggling with his shot. Is he contributing at all?

Thanks in advance guys. Its good to be back.

1. KG is as good as he was before.  The jumper's a little rusty, but that will come.

2. Rondo's been up and down, and maybe looking for the jumper a little more.

3. Semih's been working his tail off on the boards (many time while everyone else is standing around watching him do so).

4.  Yes, but fewer since KG's been back.

5.  Not on a consistent basis, no.
Yup

Thnks Redz. TP'd.

Re: Rondo...I find it interesting that his role on the team is always evolving and changing. It's like Doc doesnt give him a specific role like he does with other players. He lets him freelance more and feel his way through the season as far as how much he will shoot and try to score.

Has he been hitting the jumpers?

I missed the last game (thankfully), but yeh, I'd say he's shooting ok with them.
Yup

Best news since then is that Perk is putting in full practices with no restrictions. Doc says he is looking great.   He plans to play on Feb 4 vs the Mavs, which is their first home game after the road trip.

Actually I'd have to say that Rondo seems a bit off. I always thought he was rushed back with Nate being inconsistent as a Starter back in December, and he hasn't really been as explosive since then. His cuts have been a little slower, his jumps for rebounds have been a little shorter, and overall hustle is decreased. He just seems... off

I'm actually pretty concerned about KG. His rebounding numbers are down, and he's been posting up less and taking more of those turnaround jumpers. He's just not as dominant as the start of the season. Having said that, he's still gobbling up the Blatche's of the world

And as for BBD, he looks a bajillion times better coming off the bench. A pleasant surprise has been Wafer, who is probably aware his playing time is in jeopardy with the soon-to-return DWest. He had just a ferocious throw down in the closing minute of the Jazz game.
Pick 2 Draft:

Salt Laker Flappers

PG: Jameer Nelson/ Mike Bibby/ Pooh Jeter
SG: Jason Richardson/ J.R. Smith
SF: Caron Butler/ J.R. Smith / Matt Barnes PF: Zach Randolph/ Ike Diogu/ Nenad Kristic C: Joakim Noah/ Nenad Kristic/ Tony Battie/ Ike Diogu

If Wafer continues playing like this
the likes of nate will warm the bench a lot

Delonte, Wafer, Daniels, BBD and Shaq will make a pretty sweet
defensive capable and offensive inteligent second unit
Once a CrotorNat always a CROTORNAT  2 times CB draft Champion 2009-2012

Nice to be back!
