This according to Chris Forsberg. Hope it's not serious. Link below:

We just can't get a break. Oh, well. I guess we'll have to be happy about our 33-9 record with the injury bug biting us all season long. The law of averages will swing this thing around for us.

From how it happened, I can't imagine it's any more than a bruise/contusion, and even at his age, that shouldn't take long to heal ... I'm not too worried.

I'm not buying this injury, next 2 games are against Washington and Cleveland - because it doesn't look right to just sit him against these teams we really don't need him for were using this " his hip locked up" to just buy him rest. So that way he's nice and rested for the West Coast swing.

Yeah, could easily be true ... they want him for the road-trip and Lakers, for sure, and they've seemingly done this once-or-twice before this year, giving him "injury" breaks to set him up for important games, or just rest him. I wish they would be honest about it, though, and just come out and say that he's being rested for the road trip ... they do it at the end of the season for the Big Three, and I think most fans would understand. The fake injury thing just stinks a bit of deception, and that stuff can come back to bite you.

I'm not sure if the league would be understanding at the level they probably want to do it.  But I think at most there's a tweak and they decide it is a good time to super-rest him.

I actually think he might have hurt it in the previous game against detroit when he dove for that loose ball on the ground. It looked like he hit his hip pretty hard on the ground, maybe he has a deep bruise or something.

they cant make it public if they are resting him. david stern would waste no time fining us. it would def stir up the pot, make other teams who we were playing against be super angry and would just cause too many problems.

i hope it is just resting him. but just because its the wizards and cavs, doesnt mean we're guaranteed two wins. im sure they will play us tough, especially now that shaq is out. these are 2 must wins before that road trip.

I believe Shaq is really injured, but that doesn't mean he can't play.  He played six minutes last night.  They are just being extra precautious with the old man.

Shaq's hurt, so he's being sat. What's with the conspiracy theories? They're gonna be on the 2nd game of a back-to-back, and if it's felt that he should be sat, what's the big deal? The C's don't have that much depth at center, you know.....I just hope it's not too serious.

Hopefully Shaq is back by 2/6 versus Orlando and hopefully Perk will be back also. A 5-man rotation of KG, Perk, Shaq, Baby and Semih should be just fine.

I think Danny should sign Sheed in February:

  - JO is injured and his knee is still unknown.
  - Shaq is 38 and is slightly injured.
  - Perk just coming from a serious injury.

I hope everyone is healthy for the postseason, but this is not enough playoff Danny, we need security.

  Erdem isnĀ“t a player playoff.

Need for Sheed Danny obviously if we have guarantees.

I heard it was his hip locking up not an injury per se.  Not sure if this is correct but could be a bio mechanical and not a trauma issue.
