I thought we were supposed to hear something yesterday, but the snow got in the way. Now Wednesday is coming to a close and still nothing.

Didn't he say that if he doesn't play tonight, he's going under the knife?

We'll have our answer by the end of the evening.

Breaking News: Perkins is coming back on Feb. 4th. JO permanently glued to the bench. Who cares about this guy.

I mentioned this before but, maybe this will end up being a positive regarding the minutes for all the bigs if he's out for the rest of season.  Sucks because he was an MLE but, you could swap him and Shaq and their salaries and be happy with the output for the money.

Perkins/Shaq
KG/BBD
PP/Marquis
Ray/Robinson
Rondo/Delonte

I think that team is plenty talented enough to hang banner #18.
Little Fockers 1.5/10
Gulliver's Travels 1/10
Grown Ups -20/10
Tron Legacy 6.5/10

It's not a positive. Regardless of the financial aspect, we need his defensive presence.

I'd think Shaq, at 38 and 350+ pounds, is going to need some extended time off to get ready for the intensity/grind of the playoffs. With homecourt in the East ours to lose, and homecourt throughout within sight, can we trust Erden logging important minutes? Depth and size are our strength, and without JO, we lose a little of both.

I just hope we can get a resolution to this situation very soon.

Maybe in a perfect world.  However, we all know that Shaq is constantly in and out of the lineup, KG is handled with the utmost care (if he has a cold he's sitting), and Perk will take a while to get back to his old self.

While JO might not be what he once was, he'd be a great asset to this team, even if it's only for 10-15 mpg.

We've trusted Semih to log important minutes for us throughout much of the season.  I don't see why we can't continue to use him as our fifth big and still be good enough to get homecourt advantage.

Not really. Doc uses him out of necessity in the real important games, and sparingly.

I don't mind him getting PT except for the incessant fouling (although the refs do nitpick with him), but to say losing JO can turn into a positive, which either forces even more PT for Erden when Shaq sits or BBD has to play C, that's not a great thing for us.

Will we find out in the the next hour what's up with JO?

Since he is under contract for more than just this season I'd rather he holds off on surgery and gives us 100% EFFORT during playoffs.  He can play once a week until then, if that is too much less.  If Jermaine is healthy and TRYING he is our best all around center.  He certainly hasn't proven it so far, his effort level is a big IF but if he's our 3rd string center come playoff time;  I'm happy.  That would still leave us with Semih who has done an admirable job and can actually only improve with the added pt of only shaq around as 4th string and davis & garnett as centers when needed.
I would love delonte to get healthy and prove he is ready to play and move nate for another swing man, 6'6" and up that plays good defense (at the least).  Nate can get hot and hit but he's our only trade asset that myself as gm would give up.
