I do remember there were rumblings Danny might be interested in him in the last draft with our pick before he decided to stay in school for his senior season.

My opinion, yes.. this guy will be able to play in the NBA.

He is by far the best shooter in the nation...

He is a better version of Eddie House.  He shoots the ball just as well as House, but he's a better ball handler/passer.  He has a role in the NBA, it may not be worth a top 20 pick, but he can definitely play in the league.

Offensively, Jimmer is a pro.  His shot speed, accuracy and range are all ++ in the league.

However, outside of a few 2 guards in the league, he will have difficulty guarding 1s and 2s.  No way a coach will let him guard a 3.

His lack of defense will kill his career.
