The Clippers played tough and could hang in there with the Lakers after conceeding the lead about midway through the second quarter.

Blake Griffin finished with yet another double-double and was big in the second half of this afternoon's game, helping the Clippers stay within 10 points of the Lakers and had a huge shot in the fourth quarter, a babyhook that drew a foul that gave the Los Angeles Clippers a one point lead (from which point they never looked back).

Eric Gordon of the LA Clippers had a huge scoring night with 30 points, 6 assists and 4 steals and went 13-20 from the field. Blake Griffin started of slow, however he helped lead a huge run that gave the Clippers the lead and finished the night with 18 points.

Kobe Bryant had 27 points (7-17 FG's, 1-7 3's),

Kudos to the Clippers for ending the Lakers' 7 game winning-streak. It's always fun to see a younger team stand up to a so-called 'veteran team'. The Los Angeles Clippers have proven that they are an entertaining team to watch.

Lol, shouldn't  something like that be in the 'Patriots Post-Season' topic? Just saying  :)

<3 the Clippers
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

Clips actually looking pretty good. Glad to see them playing together and playing well. On paper this team is pretty dirty.

I've watched most of their last 3 games, and they are gonna be a good team. Blake is a beast and Gordon is playing at an all-star caliber level. Davis is their leader, Gomes is solid, and Bledsoe adds energy. Jordan is raw but has great length.

I think they dug themselves too big a hole to climb out of this season, but I expect them to make the playoffs next season and
maybe win a round.

To be in these games with the good teams is a good sign, but to hang on and win these close games is impressive.

Clippers played great today against the Lakers and who knows, they could still make the playoffs if some of these other WC teams (Denver, Portland, Memphis) fade. I think it would be a hoot if the Clippers play the Lakers in the 1st round.

Salvaged some joy out of today anyway with the Clippers BEATING LA.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

I really wish the Clippers could have re-done the start of their season. Many of their recent losses could have easily gone either way. I still think that they can do some serious damage the rest of the way...they just need to learn how to play and win on the road.

They need to go after a big-time small forward - they need someone to produce when Blake and Eric go out and rest, although Kaman should handle some of that.

Griffin narrowly missed another 20 pt, 10 reb game. I think he stopped at 13 games (Exact number, anyone? I do know he's already up there with some NBA household names at age 21. It'll be a joy to be able to follow that kid) Impressive stuff by LAC, though. If they keep it up, Clippers will make a run for 8th seed, IMO.

The ejections were another bad Stern joke. Artest is "crazy" but during the fracas he did nothing but try to stop the situation from evolving. The refs should just've thrown around some T's, end of story. 5 seconds to go, game already decided. Another ugly chapter written in the story of today's NBA officiating.

I love seeing that kind of emotion from a rookie ... I haven't watched him very much, obviously, but he doesn't come across as arrogant ... cocky, yes - arrogant, no. Thanks to Kobe, (and the atmosphere he has cultured in L.A.), the Lakers feel like he, (and they), are afforded some kind of extra level of respect, and guys like Griffin take them for what they are - just another team to do battle with. The ejections were kind of excessive for what happened, but this was a great statement game by the Clippers ... it's their court, too! ;)

Yeah, he seems like such a good kid, just like KD35. It's so cool to have NBA players on other teams that you actually want to root for. I like watching the Clip Show.

Next time, let Von Wafer pull Kobe's shirt (with acting and some trash talking) so they'll both get ejected!n It's that easy in the NBA  ;D. Right refs? ;D
