This is what Doc is very good at ... not so sure about Spoelstra. But I'm pretty comfortable and confident when it comes to our management making these kinds of calls. We'll be ready when the post-season gets here. (I thought the alien thing, too).

I think we learned last year to deal with the minor injuries and keep them minor. We let Pierce come back too soon (and maybe KG too) and it affected us the whole season.

This season, we shut down Rondo longer than we probably had to and are doing the same with KG now (I would assume).

As long as we stay away from major injuries from here on out, we will be fine. Let's hope Perk and Delonte were the worst of them (although JO's situation doesn't look all that positive).

As far as I'm concerned the Miami Heat losing streak isn't long enough. Maybe the Atlanta Hawks will surprise them on Tuesday?

Hopefully we can get a win on Monday vs the Orlando Magic, though Shaquille O'Neal and Semih Erden would have to do a good job at guarding the 3-time rebounding king Dwight Howard. Much has already been made of the Magic's decision to let Marcin Gortat and Vince Carter go in favor of Jason Richardson and Gilbert Arenas so we may still have the chance to catch that team off-guard as they have made noticeable changes to what will later be their playoff rotation.

I'm not sure that injuries are as predictable as "pushing the limits" vs. "coasting".

For instance, Bosh is playing 35.5 minutes per game, lowest since his rookie year.  Lebron's minutes are the second lowest of his career.  KG is right around 31 minutes, which is a very modest total.

If these guys were playing 42+ minutes in the regular season, I'd agree that they needed to be reigned in.  However, when guys are in the mid-30s, I don't see a huge issue.  I guess you can instruct your players to take it easy and to play lazy, but I think that potentially builds bad habits that can come back to bite you.
