I'm not sure that injuries are as predictable as "pushing the limits" vs. "coasting".
For instance, Bosh is playing 35.5 minutes per game, lowest since his rookie year. Lebron's minutes are the second lowest of his career. KG is right around 31 minutes, which is a very modest total.
If these guys were playing 42+ minutes in the regular season, I'd agree that they needed to be reigned in. However, when guys are in the mid-30s, I don't see a huge issue. I guess you can instruct your players to take it easy and to play lazy, but I think that potentially builds bad habits that can come back to bite you.
