Nothing p---es me off more than a guy making max salary talking about how they have to feed their family.

TP for that. EXACTLY what i was going to post.

Bosh doesn't make max salary. He took a lower salary to play with Miami.

He still makes a ton of money.

Yeah, but you have to remember Patrick Ewing's insight...

"Sure NBA players make a lot of money, but we spend a lot too."

And don't forget lateral sprewell's cogent statement that  he has a family to feed.

Dont you just love the NBA. :)
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I love how he makes a blatant attempt to get some sympathy by throwin in that BS about 'providin for my family' blah blah blah. No one's buyin that Bosh. This is basketball injuries happen. And anyone remember how Bosh got posterized in miami by Rondo? Bosh gave rondo a little push while he was in the air Rondo could've ended up just like Delonte but he got lucky. Just ironic that now this is comin from him. But let's take it easy on him guys, Chris Soft just wants to chill, remember?

I was going to post this in the Lakers/Clippers thread but I think it belongs more in here..since everyone is bagging on softies lol :P

Quote
While Randy Foye made a free throw to put the Clippers ahead 99-90, Griffin slammed aggressively into Odom's back while seeking position for a possible rebound. Odom grabbed Griffin's jersey and verbally expressed his displeasure.

"Maybe I overreacted, but I just feel like if you're up 9, a ram in the back at that point?" Odom asked. "Any other time, I get it. You play hard, you're strong, whatever, but the ram in the back [while] up 9? I don't get it, so I'm just going to have to react."

So I guess you don't try, or atleast you're not supposed to, when you're up by 9 points. Yes there was 5 seconds left in the game..but isn't that what makes a winner a winner? Hard working, big effort, showing no mercy, being relentless?

The game was over (less than 10 secs remained). No reason for the rookie to send a message - his team had already done that...

Odom seems to have no problem giving out a cheap shot when the Lakers are losing and its over , but then he complains when Griffin does it on a legit rebounding play ?

Sorry Lamar you are the biggest punk in the league , dont feel sorry for you , wish Griffin would have smacked that stupid grin off your face .

So everyone should just give up and go in auto-pilot mode once the game is over? Odom saying that shows he's a sore loser..mentally soft. If he loses he wants people to go easy on him. I'm guessing he probably cried himself to sleep at night when they got blown out by the Celtics in game 6 of the 08 finals lol.

Maybe the Celtics should just coast through games once they build up a big lead....oh wait  ;)
