The biggest problem I see is that it sticks them with JO's salary for next year. Why would they add worthless salary for next year?

Because it clears Jamison's $15 million contract from their books, I'd say.

I wouldn't do this trade.  I don't see a huge net difference between BBD and Jamison right now, when you take Jamison's horrible defense into account.

Man, I didn't realize Jamison had another year left on the contract. No thanks!

By next year, that will be one of the worst contracts in the league.

What do you guys think? The Cavs season is clearly a train wreck. Maybe they at least consider this?

Celts get Antwan Jamison and Anthony Parker
Cavs get Jermaine, Nate, Harangody and Glen Davis.

Checks out on trade machine. I think Jamison and Parker would be money for the Celts down the stretch.

While I do think that Davis, Robinson and JO are trade chips I do not like the idea of trading away Harangody who has shown that if we do not trade Big Baby we don't have to resign him cause Harangody had played with just as much energy, rebounding is better, hustle is about equal and he has at least been known to hit outside shots.
Plus we are getting Jamison and Parker in return who are on the decline of there careers. We need a better rebounding PF/C and Parker is just as consistent as Nate with his shot... I'd feel better with Nate.

Boston gets JaVale McGee, Tracy McGrady, Jason Maxiell
Detroit gets Nate Robinson, Kyle Seraphim

Washington isn't giving up McGee for BBD and 'Quis.
Detroit isn't giving up Maxiell for Nate and who?

also, I'll take Quisy over Mcgrady at this stage of their careers and for what each brings to the team.  I'll trust Quisy on D, with ballhandling duties and with his in the paint offense any day of the week over the inconsistant and past-his-prime Mcgrady

I like the idea of trading for anthony parker. I think adding depth and a real solid defender at the 3 position would really help go against Wade, LBJ, and eventually Kobe. I would love to see Danny go after Pietrus who is probably available, but Anthony Parker fits the same mold. Both are very good defensive players who are also very good 3 point shooters. We could go with a bench guard/wing rotation of Delonte, Daniels, and Pietrus/Parker, assuming we trade Nate to get one of them. I like Nate, but I think adding a bigger defensive wing off the bench will be more valuable. He makes more than Parker and almost as much as Pietrus, enough fit in a one for one deal. Maybe Nate and a pick would get it done.

Pietrus is a great idea, and probably available.  Nice.

Id like the idea of getting a player who has proven he can play some decent defense as well as contribute offensively.Peitrus comes to mind if the Suns ever wanted to part with him.He can guard most 3's in the league without losing a step when on the court.He's as good a one on one defender ive seen in the last few years.

Why are you guys so eager to trade Glen Davis?  He is wave the PF since greatest bread that is sliced of the future, the game's history.

Ok, in all seriousness, I'd be willing to take on some extra salary if it helped us win now.. if that salary comes off the books at the end of the 2011/2012 season.  Anything beyond that would not be worth it IMO.

Jamison's defense can be suspect, but I think he'd fit in wel with our system.  I think Doc and others would really maximize his playing, and he could be a great addition to the bench!

I dont know why either side should/shouldn't do it, i just know it worked in the trade machine and B. Wallace is healthier than JO!

If Danny is immediately willing to cut a tanker like McGrady, maybe.  McGrady shouldn't be within the area code of a championship roster.  But I wouldn't do it anyway.  

Hold onto Avery for awhile.  I see a little of Gerald Henderson in Avery as he gets playing time either here or in the NBDL.  He, IMHO, ultimately will be worth a lot more than a throw-in in a deal.

I wouldn't trade Davis straight up for Jamison.  Davis at least understands our defense....Not to mention he's become one of the best floppers in the NBA.  As long as the officials keep making a mockery of basketball by calling the flops, Davis will get us an extra possession or two every game.  Seriously...At this stage in their careers, Davis is the better player.

not bad, parker and jamison have the talent, but i hate losing big baby. He's been huge for us. Good clutch guy. And he's always getting those "and 1's" that brings fans alive.
