after watching Rose torch the C's with penetration all night, I'm a little surprised Doc didn't try Bradley for a few minutes to see if he could at least stay in front of him.  Couldn't have defended any worse than Nate or Rondo.  for that matter, he couldn't have done a significantly worse in getting the team into its offense either.

Unless Bradley was going to get over Thomas' picks, he wouldn't have done much better than Rondo.  Our biggest problem (when Robinson wasn't defending him) was our inability to extend our defense to the ball.  As soon as Rondo got picked off, Rose had 10 feet of room to speed up and hurtle himself into our big men (hence the 19 foul shots).  I guess Rondo could have gone under the picks more, but that didn't seem to be the C's strategy.

he may or may not have done a better job getting over the picks.  can't say one way or the other without getting to see him try.  I do think he could have pressured the ball better before Chicago had a chance to set the picks though.  It may not have resulted in a better game by the C's but it's possible he could have given some defensive energy to turn things around

Pick and roll is 2 on 2.  You can't expect the point guard to get over every pick.

Rondo got caught on those picks too many times. I saw it happen a lot against the The Raptors last night. The difference is Jose Calderon was taking the wide up shots, and on the other hand Rose is taking it straight to the hoop. He either made the floaters or got to the line. Even on his misses Bulls were getting the O-Rebound. Rose was Consistently penetrating the defense. My question is: Why is Rondo fighting the picks over the top against Derrick Rose? Shouldn't he go underneath the picks?

Not too concerned with this loss.

We are now 5-2  without KG and with a win over San Antonio during that stretch? This is one less tough game we have to worry about.

Guaranteed that D Rose won't have that kind of game next time we meet.

I can not wait until Perk and KG are back. Injuries have officially caught up with us.

Big Baby was just awful, worst game in years for him... and he kept shooting, ugh.

Only Ray and Pierce were on, Rondo half efficient and we got totally outrebounded, played too many one on one, made dumb decisions and played poor D for long stretches.

With that said, the treatment Rose benefited from the refs was simply ridiculous, the guy shot 19 FTs and at one point in the 3rd he just had to get the ball on offense to get the guaranteed FT's while Nate and Rondo could get body checked on the other end but no calls! So frustrating.

Stupid loss in the sense that it was a very winnable game but let's move on and hope KG comes back on Monday.

Rebounding was the key.

Davis should never lead the Celtics in FGA.

Celtics' 4th Q's in B2B's will continue to be problematic vs good teams.

And here comes the next game at home vs a tough Rockets team - and back to the defense that was missing last night
