Just an ugly game to watch. No consistent energy from anyone tonight at all. There spurts where it looked like we were about to show up, but it faded quickly.

2nd night of a back to back isn't a good excuse, just a disappointing effort from just about everyone.

I dont understand why Baby/Rondo were our #1 and #2 offensive option in the 4th quarter, I just dont get it.

I don't see the Bulls as a threat come playoff time.

Their offense isn't good enough to tangle with a defense with as much quality as the Celtics. Too much dribbling from Derrick Rose, too much one-on-one play. Not enough movement. Not enough perimeter shooting.

They are still a few pieces away. They need a quality shooting guard and backup wings who better fit their roster + style of play.

Couldn't agree more.  Take away the extremely favorable Boozer-Baby match-up and the Bulls are far less formidable an opponent.  It'll basically be Rose vs. the C's team defense.

Kevin Love cant even dunk the basketball, has very little athleticism, yet he leads the lead in rebounds.

We have so many big guys but none of them cant rebound except KG.

I dont get it, they need a class on how to box-out or something, its either that or they just arent trying to get rebounds.

What those two were doing out there tonight was mind boggling. They lost the game for us alone. Sure we didn't shoot well as a team. But Rondo refused to even let Pierce touch the ball. Baby would just shot no matter what.

It was a pathetic display. Can't wait til KG gets back so we can see less of Baby.

Like i said in an earlier thread, KG is the most important player on this team.

Big Baby has been our #1 option on offense ever since KG went down. When hes on, we can win games, when hes off, he shots us out of the game and doesent bring anything to the table on defense or rebounding to make up for it like KG does.

Baby is the #1 option on offense because of one person, himself. Seems like he is trying to impress suitors come the end of the season .Once KG comes back he'll move back into his role and I'll be happy.

Everybody should be nervous about Chicago in the playoffs. Rose getting the 2006 DWade treatment and Noah on D makes them very dangerous. It would not surprise me for them to take out Miami, or us.

Part of what killed us tonight was that Rose's driving took all of BBD's backups out of the game. He played 43 minutes!

Also: was equally bad on defense as he was on offense.

But you can't get too worked up about it. One lousy game, KG coming back soon, and BBD is a better player than he showed tonight. We got a nice home stretch coming up.

We lost to Derrick Rose tonight, and when he wasn't in the game, we lost to Carlos Boozer. We had no (expletive) offensive strategy the entire (expletive) time... we just did these (expletive) retarded pick and pops with rondo and davis, and they blitzed the (expletive) out of it all game, and we never adjusted at all. You can say, "well the Bulls played great defense" but the fact of the matter is that there was never a single play run beyond a) Rondo dribbles the ball for the entire freaking clock and then finds someone for a layup or Ray off a curl and b) we do some listless pick and pop bull crap that results in literally nothing happening, and then we try it again, and nothing happens again, and then the shot clock expires. There was no energy, but even worse, no defense. Scoring was child's play for Carlos Boozer for 2 quarters, until we decided "hey, we're getting annihilated...maybe we should stop the (expletive) layups." Then Derrick Rose somehow got into the lane 50 to 60 times for 1100 free throws, with no help defense at any point, unless it came late and sent him to the free throw line. This was the (expletive) (expletive) game the celtics have played in (expletive) ever. (expletive).

Couldn't of said it better myself. Glen being the #1 option is not by design, I guarantee it. From what I've seen, he's become a blackhole on offense - the ball just sticks in his hand when he gets it. It's like he's forgotten how to pass.

I don't think anyone expects the Bulls to beat the C's in a series but they could be a tough out. C's need as less trouble in the playoffs as possible for those old legs.

O'Neal's both looked old, tired and stagnant.

Rondo wasn't able to run the offense, Ray and Paul were missing all 2nd half. Rose got this matchup big time.

Bench was a complete disaster, shooting was pathetic and rebounds..well, let's just not talk about it.

Baby played bad like everybody else, let's not point the finger only at him for this hard loss.

Shaq is too slow laterally to get rebounds out of his space.  JO isn't as slow but has similar problems pursuing loose balls and doesn't have Shaq's huge size. 

Baby is quick laterally, but he has very short arms in addition to his height disadvantage and compounds his weakness with his tendency to rebound like a guard, pursuing the ball off the shot instead of sealing his man first.  Gody's technique is better but he's smaller and weaker than Baby and thus doesn't get much better results.

We also got to get a peek at how incredibly bad Nate can be as a matchup.  He hurt us tonight quite a bit.

And not being able to control the PG; Rose getting deep into the paint...O'Neals in foul trouble.

Another good reason for Erden to get 6 minutes in the 2nd quarter...

But in the 4th, their defense took Paul and Ray out of the game.  They were quicker, fresher, and tougher than us down the stretch.

No one likes to hear excuses but was always gonna be tough on the 2nd night of a back-to-back against a team who usually give us trouble. Fair to say nothing went right tongiht but still right in the match at 3 qtr time. As long as there were no injuries to come out of the game then no need to worry too much IMO. Just gotta do something bout these rebounding woes.
