Tyler Hansborough comparison is good except maybe not as good in the inside but a better shooter.

Harangody is going to get minutes because he is a 1st year dream come true player for a coach like Doc. Plays disciplined, effort, intensity, shoots when he suppose to, passes when he suppose to , thus plays a high execution percentage game.

To clarify my original post:

1) I did say "someone like Shane Battier;" so the overall point isn't so much Battier, but an elite defender at the 3.  Sub in whoever you like.

2) I'd only make such a trade if I'm Danny Ainge if I'm legitimately worried about the Heat.  I'm not sure I'm there yet.  However, let's keep in mind that Ray and Paul could easily get into early foul trouble against the Heat.  Do we feel confident with Marquis Daniels guarding LeBron to the tune of 20+ mpg?  I'm not sure (and I mean that sincerely, I think he might be OK doing it).  But if not, we might consider such a trade.

Pierce would play in thye high 30's, and Quis could handle the 10 minutes--for even if LBJ played the whole 48.

Ideally, you're right.  However, what happens if in a 7 game series Pierce gets into repeated foul trouble and is limited to the upper 25-30 mpg?  That very likely will happen in a few games given the ridiculous calls LeBron gets.

I think Daniels may be able to handle that.  He is a good player.  But it's certainly worth considering upgrading the backup 3 position if we're going to have to go through Miami.  Moreover, having a bigger 3 certainly wouldn't hurt against the likes of Turkoglu in Orlando and even Kobe and Artest in LA.

I'm still not sold either way.  I also like the idea of having 5 legit bigs and instituting a no-lay-up policy in the playoffs.  But it's something to think about.

Luke is pretty small but by god does he put in effort. He boxes out 24/7.

Not only that, but he seems to dive up to the sky, stretched out to his maximum at just the right moment to get the ball over taller, hoppier players.  (And yeah, I know that's not a word.)
