Quote
One week after suffering a strained right calf against the Detroit Pistons, Celtics forward Kevin Garnett participated in his first known basketball activities following Boston's morning walkthrough in advance of Wednesday's game against the San Antonio Spurs.

According to the team, Garnett worked out in the weight room while teammates were on the floor, then came out at the end for some light on-court shooting.

Hopefully he really is on track for just 2 weeks.

Not surprising.

Didn't consider this a conspiracy from the get-go like some.

Good news. We will likely see him in a week to 10 days, and if they were desperate, he could probably play tonight. Although that would be a huge risk.

If he's not feeling it then he's not feeling it but it would great to have KG in this game and really send a message to the Spurs (our future finals opponent).
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Theres no way in hell the Spurs are making it out of the west, they are simply too small.

This is wrong. They might not make it out, they may not be the favorite. But "no way in hell"... wrong.

I actually didn't visit CBlog the day after the KG injury because I couldn't bear to read more posts (many on the game thread that night) from those who were sure that the sky had fallen -- that KG and the C's were done.

We obviously don't know whether this will be a nagging or recurring injury, but it is already pretty clear that doomsday hasn't arrived.  I understand the temptation for knee-jerk reactions following a worrisome event, but this will hopefully remind folks not to jump to conclusions.

Go KG -- get back soon (but not before you are ready)!

Spurs are a run and gun team that doesent play good defense this year, if the Lakers get it together (which they will) the Spurs will not make it out of the west.

They are still a top 10 defensive squad, 7th last time I checked.
