I really like what I saw from Von tonite ... especially the rebounding and getting out on the fast-break. I love to see this team run, and he has that "run" mentality ... as soon as he gets a rebound, his head is up looking for someone to outlet the ball to.

He's got a great shooting stroke, I just think he needs to develop some more confidence in that area. Oh, yeah ... he got the "Tommy Award" tonite, too ... that kinda tells you what type of game he had. Great job by the kid in this one ... I'd like to see more!

Bahku nailed it, the main thing is he looks comfortable out there these past couple games. The shot will eventually fall. Also he's been nice and alert on defense.

I remember Von being an "instant offense" guy in Houston a few seasons back. He has the ability to score for sure, he just needs to be more comfortable with the C's offense. He showed a glimpse of that scoring ability in today's game. It didn't hurt that he got a few boards as well! Hopefully this is his breakout game for the Celtics. I checked his career stats in nba.com and true enough, he had his best year with the Rockets. I didn't know though that he started out his NBA career with the Lakers back in 2005!

Mark me as being dead wrong once more. Before the season I saw nothing from wafer that made me think he would ever help the team.

In the past few games he has been much more under control on offense and he has played good defense. The last one really surprised me. He plays good man to man defense (not Avery good, but still good) and I don't see him missing too many defensive rotations. He seems willing to learn and listen, which was not his reputation before joining Boston.

Paradoxically, his jump shooting is not consistent, but may very well be a result of focusing more on learning defense & passing. Also, not getting much playing time is probably a factor.

What I like the most is how he has expanded his game beyond being a shooter. Shooting will come to him as he plays more. But for now, I enjoy how he helps the team in other ways.

Danny was right. I was wrong again. Wafer is a keeper. And even if he puts up a bad game or two in the future, it won't really detract from what he has accomplished.

Tp to wafer.  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

mark me wrong as well, if he continues to play like he did last night he'll move up on rotation and nate is going to have some problems when delonte gets back

our 2 near end of bench guys wafer and luke did nice jobs last night, luke didn't shoot well at all but did a nice job otherwise  (shame on the fans who were booing him for missing js)
