Bass hurt his knee in the win over the Knicks on Thursday:

(From the Orlando Sentinel):

"Bass said he came down on his left knee in the second quarter of the game against the New York Knicks on Thursday night and "heard a pop."

Lots of injuries getting reported these days - Spurs seem to be the only good team being spared...

I guess Ryan Anderson starts, and Earl Clark gets lots of minutes.

Malik Allen can't play (ankle). Who else is there?

Timing for them is terrible, considering the lack of trade leverage this brings.

I really like the way Bass plays. I feel badly for him because he is finally getting the opportunity he deserves. At the same time, it makes our direct competition worse for the wear so I have to be a little happy about this.

They need to move a wing / guard for a big or could fall way back in the playoff hunt... hmm.

And with that Jinxing, Manu just slipped in his shower and tore his ACL.

Seriously though, this is the time of year the injuries always start piling up.  The teams that are able to pull through the next couple months in one piece are the ones that are going to be the ones still playing in May and June.

Agreed here.  Bass plays hard and he brings the Magic some much needed toughness.  It never made sense to me how they made Dwight shoulder all the rebounding and physicality needed in the post by playing weak, shooting 4's.

Now they are in the same position.  Big loss for them and now they are even MORE reliant on Dwight.  I love that because we have shown how well we can handle him and take him out of games.

Man, after moving Gortat, they are really counting on Bass. They are insanely soft now when Dwight has foul trouble.

Turk got a triple double that will be normal to him if bass is out.
