Should we bring up Tiny Gallon to bench

Do we need a BIG on the bench instead of, say, Bradley ?
With injuries to O'Neals, Garnett, overplaying Baby
and Paul playing long minutes (sprained ankle, what may be
next ?)
I dare to say we should rather have Tiny Gallon on the
bench !

I've seen him live a couple times, he needs to get into better shape before he comes up here. Still overweight, more pounds must be removed.

Him and Antoine matched up nicely because neither are fully in NBA shape, And that's how i knew that Tiny isn't ready, cause any other 22 year old NBA PF would have been beating him up and down all night.

So you are saying we cut Bradley, eat his guaranteed 2 yrs, so that we can have another 19 year old sit on the bench? That doesn't seem sensible to me.

Why would we cut any of our guys to give a chance to someone like that? Are you claiming he is better than Harangody, our current backup PF now that JO is out backup 5 and Erden is our 3rd string 5?

There are countless mediocre players out there we could post about. What is special about Gallon? What does he bring besides a fluctuating height of 6'8"-6'10"?

 saw him live earlier in the year and out of shape would be a sever understatement. He was putting up numbers but after about 3 productive minutes he would go into "Im so tired all I can do is trail a play and foul every possesion" mode.

Seriously...he couldnt beat anyone down the floor and was only effective because he is huge in the D League.

I think you're forgetting the fact that the roster is full.  We can't just call up anyone we feel like.  Who do you cut loose?  I think the only ones we can outright cut are Wafer and (maybe) Harangody...right now, I'd rather have them than anyone on the D-League roster.

The Celtics don't control Gallon's rights.  He's not on our 15 man roster, and if we wanted to play Gallon, we wouldn't "bring him up" -- we'd have to sign him as a free agent.  To do so, we'd have to cut one of our other 15 players (i.e., we couldn't just send Bradley to Maine to take his place).

Think of Gallon as a free agent that just happens to play for our minor league affiliate.  Yes, we got to filter him there due to the new D-League rules about player allocation, but he has no further obligation to the Celtics.

Exactly. This kid needs to stay down there until he's in shape, bringing him up hear to get smashed on isn't very good for his confidence.
