I don't understand why KG pounded all the other players fists except Villanueva's prior to tip off the other night? If KG felt that it was appropriate to apologize to Coach Karl about what was reported that he said to Villanueva - why not just bury the hatchet so to speak with the man who made the allegations? To puposely ignore him like that just got Villanueva and the crowd that much more into it. Was it bad karma that KG got injured and we got pounded in that game? Why not just kiss and make up and let it go?

Exactly,

KG didn't apologize for anything because he never called Villanueva a cancer patient. KG approached coach Karl out of respect to clear the air on what actually happened.

Charlie acted like a punk. You don't acknowledge punks.

I think that is one thing that might be true.

I also think George Karl is a well respected, safe figure, that a lot of people have respect for and like. It was an easy way to look good, and KG probably wouldn't have felt like he was giving up any kind of credibility by doing it.

Charlie, I imagine KG actually dislikes, and if he went over and shook his hand, it means he did something wrong. Plus, the C's lost that game, I doubt KG was feeling particularly like making any kind of amends, that is if he even feels like he needed to make any.

Because he likes George Karl, and didn't diss people with cancer.

But he does hate Villanueva, now even more because of him airing out dirty laundry on Twitter. Charlie V hasn't earned KG's respect and will not get it... ever.

Bad Karma?  ::)

Two things:

1) Coach Karl isn't playing the games.  I think KG wants every edge possible, and he wouldn't want to give in to an opponent;

2) He doesn't respect Charlie V.  The guy tweeted -- and lied -- about what KG said, causing him a lot of grief in the process.  Why would he shake his hand?

 Shouldn't have Charlie V apologized to KG?

None of us knows what KG said - but the tweet was ridiculous.

That being said, the unlikeliness of KG saying "You are cancerous to your team and our league" speaks for itself!

I'm with ya, OP, TP. KG f. up and badly and tried to make himself look better by shaking coach's hand but just couldn't bring himself to do what really needed to be done.
This superiority attitude everyone seems to take over CV is a turn off.

  Maybe, but I don't think "you're a cancer" is unlikely at all.

  Regardless, the twitter post was pretty sleazy. Let me know when he tweets about some of his trash talking, or apologizes to a player for something he said to them during a game.

He probably did call him a cancer patient... but that's just mildly viscous trash talk. Millions of worse things have been said. Charles was just a complete female dog about it so KG has feelings of contempt and disgust for him.

And that was Doc's account. I've wondered if the person who wrote the words for KG's official statement, deliberately tried to make the quote sound a bit sophisticated, without changing its meaning. KG also simply may have forgot the precise words he used, it's not like he had reason to remember that.
