Why are the Celtics so bad at rebounding?

Granted alot of the shots vs the Celtics are jumpshots and the rebounds go long usually directly into the opposing teams hands, but still.

Jermaine is showing a lot of positive progress.  His offensive decision making has been very good, his effort on the boards very solid and his defense impactful.

Because there's no KG. No KG, no rebounds.
The Celtic in me.

"Pierce has 23 points with a non-factor Rondo. What do you mean he doesent have the goods?'' Physically, Id say he doenst have the speed/strength/elevation to take over ala Wade or Melo on a game by game basis over an 82 game season. I mean he could try to go off each night, but then where are he be in May? How worn down? Eye on the prize

He has the goods, but this team around him is built so he DOESENT have to do that, none of our players do, they all just have to do their jobs. When Pierce DOES take over, its usually beacuse one or more of our players isnt doing their job correctly.

maybe because we ditched Leon, Lasme, and sheldon...i know you all hate sheldon, but he loved rebounding....I liked him, and now he is still a starter in Denver, with some big games..!

Okay. Put the hammer down now and cruise home to victory.
they need to hit the boards harder and play more cohesively on O to make that happen

case in point -- Kleiza gets an O board and scores

Agree with the rest of you guys...Jermaine has played a very good game.

And if they are going to keep calling fouls on Shaq like he's Kendrick Perkins circa 2007, Jermaine's going to NEED to play better than he has been.
