The K.G. Injury scare really hit me hard and I could barely sleep, constantly checking for new updates searching for some sliver of hope that our season was still alive and that my favorite player of all time was going to be ok.

Thank god hes going to be ok.

I hated seeing KG look so concerned. He's been loving how good he's been feeling, and how well he'd been playing as a result.

Uh, yeah. Not here.

But then, I've seen injuries like that before and I went to bed secure in the knowledge that this was a relatively minor calf injury - as I tried to explain here last night.

Well described.

As for sleep: I was alright, but only because I had already read a lot of news about the injury by the time I went to bed.

Living in Sydney, I get to watch games about 4 to 6 hours after they were played. This means you get all the recaps right-away ;)

The game was hard to watch though. Didn't care in the slightest about whether we would win or lose, after I saw the injury happen; I just wanted to know if KG was okay or not. Had to resist skipping the game entirely and just reading up, but I didn't want to "spoil the thrill of the game". Pfff.

Oh well.

All in all, I didn't lose any sleep over it, but would I have gone to bed straight after, I would've.

I could sleep but during the day I was frequently checking updates a little to much lol.

After a few trusty IPA's, I got to sleep, but, I had a whacked-out freaky dream involving KG and it was sort of like the one involving Tony Soprano and the ducks flying away. Interpret away, Dr. Freud.

I was very worried...had some Heinekens to help me calm down a bit...but still couldn't/didn't go to bed until 4am.

I barely sleep every night ... but I put my trust in higher powers for such things as Celtics' injuries. ;)

I had a hard time at work today. I don't have access to the internet during the day and couldn't hear any reports.

slept ok, although woke up with a bolt and checked celticsblog as soon as I woke.

funny, every once in a while I'll wake up from a nightmare about a career-ending KG or paul pierce injury, or sometimes red sox, but nothing like that last night.

Doc calmed me down - I was nauseous and feeling doomed until he stepped up and said how minor the trainer had said it was and that he would miss games but not season. We can endure!

I think we should send God a message about our priorities and thank him profusely for only a strained calf.

Also Red wherever he is.

Thanks Guys.    Red. We love you and miss you. We apologize for the dancing girls.

And thank you God for MRIs and x-rays and cat scans and for the help and for keeping us humble
 ;)

After 2009, I'm surprised people believe anything this coaching/training staff or GM says when it comes to injuries and KG. Until I see #5 fluidly running up and down the court, I'm going to assume it's something more than a "minor injury".

Hoping for the best, preparing for the worst, I guess.

I read your sig. at the bottom of your post, Jsaad.  The reason negativity rolls off your back like a duck seems to be that you try to shake it off on the rest of us.  I prefer to think that the coaching/training staff is trying to do the best they can with the information they have...and regardless of that information, I believe in miracles and am going to think only the best results until definitely proven wrong.  But that is just me...
