No fracture, the X-Rays said but apparently he doesn't mean anything for ligaments :

x-rays were negative on KG for any fractures but ligament damage is still uncertain #celtics

Non-contact injury.  Smells like a ligament.

Let's hope for a strain / sprain.

The key to me is not whether KG walked by his own or not after the injury, but the expression on his face... it could either mean "oh no please not that again" by pure fear/terrible memories of his 09 injury or it could mean "oh God I know my body it's the exact same injury than in 09"...

What exactly was the injury in 09? Wasnt it bone spurs that he got removed?

It was bone spurs if I recall correctly but the scary thing is that he injured his knee by doing the same exact move against Utah, on a dunk, and he got hurt before he landed.

Just saying, but things didn't look good for Dirk the other night, either.  Turns out it's no big deal.  Let's hope for something similar.

Serious flashbacks to that Utah game right now.

If it is the same injury as a few seasons ago and it is bone spurs , couldn't he have surgery on it right away and be back at around 70% in april or may ?

http://celticshub.com/2009/05/26/kg-undergoes-successful-knee-surgery/

KG had surgery at the end of may that year and was back for the start of the season at the end of october , that is 5 months

5 months from now would put us at around may for a return if he went for the same surgery

I don't think Dirk has any history of knee surgery.  An athlete's initial reaction usually tells the true story.

It's taken him a good 12 to 15 months to get over that surgery and now he is 18 months older.  Not good man.

Mike Gorman says not a knee.  Lower leg and no break.  Ankle, foot, achilles.  Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.?
