Will Shaq be the first player win a NBA Championship as a Laker and Celtic?

Or, has it been done in the past?

If yes, by whom?

No clue, 76ers right now look like the best team in the east. At least tonight they do, and all their "superstar" players are getting the calls tonight.

Bill Sharman won four NBA championships as a player on the Celtics.

He also won an NBA championship as a coach of the Lakers.

And last but not least, he won an ABA championship as coach of the Utah Stars.

So, we have a Celtic Player & Laker Coach.  Still no Laker Player & Celtic Player that I have been able to find.

Maybe Shaq will make history this year?!?!?

Clyde Lovellette is the only player I can think of who won a title with each, and he only played in Minneapolis (rather than LA).

And that would be Sweet, indeed!!

The same player that brought LA a period of dominance could now be directly responsible for standing in their way of a championship - in Green.

Talk about betrayal. LA will be Green with envy if this happens :D.

Nice!

Well they think those titles count.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Not a player now, but don't forget about Ty Lue. He too would join Shaq should we win.

Nelly played for the Lakers against us in 63, but we won so he doesn't quite fit.
