I still cant believe after a 13 game win streak people want to trade valuable pieces of our rotation to get players that we dont have a need for in return. Unreal.

Its been a very scary 13 game win streak.

IF!! Delonte is 101% healthy and doing well.  I could see Nate for Pietrus.  He would be perfect for our thinest position by far.

what if hes only 100 percent healthy, then what do we do?

I think in part people underestimate the value of the C's having played together so long.  Baby is one of those long-timers and you just don't give him up for less size and a lateral move in a championship season like this.

what do you mean by scary? I would call having a 13 game win streak with the injuries we have had impressive rather than scary, and even more reason not to make trades because we have a lot of talented guys coming back soon.

  • Rondo = Good
I'd trake Marquis for Pietrus in a heartbeat, but the Suns have no need of Marquis.  Nate and Glen Davis are both far more valuable to our team than Pietrus would be (and are better players in general), so I would not trade either of those players for him.

I'd love to get Pietrus somehow, though.

Our 18 game winning streak came when we had no bench.  Win streaks mean very little in the playoffs.

We do have a need of a shooting back-up wing who can defend, especially with Rondo on the team.  I don't want Rondo, Daniels and one of our non-shooting bigs sharing time on the floor together if possible.  It makes it much easier for good defensive teams to shut our offense down.

2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

We have a lot of talented guys coming back at the 1/2,4/5 positions.  Nobody's coming to replace Daniels as the primary wing off the bench.

Why do we need someone to replace Daniels?

Why get rid of Nate he's playing really well....believe it or not he spells Rondo when he has trouble (and he does at times) with certain smaller quicker guards.

exactly, Daniels has done a very good job so far this season, why give up talent to replace him?

Because we hate him of course.

I think a legit backup pg is too important. Although Delonte can play pg, I don't think he is great at it.

Pietrus is an upgrade over Marquis due to his range, but I'd say the upgrade is a fairly slight one.  I don't think it's worth giving up Nate or BBD for him.

I've been the most vocal that BBD is movable - but not right now. He's playing at his best efficiency ever, provides depth at both C and PF spots and knows the defense.

Nate and Daniels are more trade-able... very useful regular season guys for depth, unlikely to matter too much in the playoffs.

And where would we be now without Nate with Rondo being out?  AB is clearly not NBA-ready.  Without Daniels who comes in for Pierce?  The grass isn't always greener elsewhere.  Is the .846 winning percentage not good enough for you people?
