I don't know where Nash could go ... there aren't many possibilities unless he forces his way out of there.

Playoff Teams

East -- BOS, MIA, ORL, CHI, ATL, MIL, NYK and maybe IND
West -- LAL, DAL, SAS, OKC, DEN, UTA, NOH and probably PHO

You can rule out several teams that are already locked and loaded at the point guard spot either with a superior talent, comparable talent or younger talent who's development they do not want to interrupt. As well as Phoenix themselves.

I have a tough time seeing Dallas make a run at Nash. They already have Jason Kidd there and Phoenix won't have much interest in most of Dallas' squad. Nash doesn't fit into the Triangle offense so I'd rule out LA too. Plus, Miami has nothing to offer up in exchange for him outside their Big Three which they are not parting with.

Atlanta likely wouldn't part with JJ, Horford or J.Smith and they don't have enough to offer up for Nash otherwise so I'll rule them out too. Ditto for Indiana due to a lack of trade assets. Denver would be very interesting but I can't see any trade package that they could offer up for Nash. Billups is too old.

Orlando is by far the best home for Steve Nash. They need his creativity and they could offer up Jameer Nelson as a replacement which is likely the best trade package anyone can, or will, offer for Steve Nash.

The other option is the Knicks and building Phoenix East. Not a title contender but a good team. This could become a much more intriguing option if they added Carmelo Anthony first. Trade one of Gallo/W.Chandler to Denver for Melo and the other to Phoenix for Nash. Plug in Azubuike as the starting two. Either Turiaf or A.Randolph as the other big. That could be very interesting.

Actually, another option ... Memphis ... likely sitting outside the playoff picture but they could give up OJ Mayo for Steve Nash. Maybe include Mike Conley and bring back a quality two guard like Mickael Pietrus. That would give Memphis a legitimate playoff team. It's a pretty big stretch though.

Orlando and New York are the only two realistic options for me.

I was trying to figure out what Steve had something to do with the C's.  Didn't know if the poster wanted to see Bulpett go to the Globe for, I don't know, Washburn?  Ryan?

Nevermind.

I would rather Nash stay a Sun. He'd probably end up with one of our rivals if he was traded.  Everyone's coming to the East. >:(

I'm on the fence - He's really "Mr. Suns", but I'd like to see him on a true contender (good thing the Magic didn't get him)...

if it isnt boston, let him rot in phx.  why would anyone want an excellent player to be traded to a contending team when your home team is a contender and it will create problems for them  ???

Doubt he gets traded to the Mavs unless it is for Jason Terry.

Nash and Dwight would be a fearsome combo if Dwight adjusted his style a bit.  That would be a very, very dangerous team.  I definitely fear Nash's exceptional offensive leadership abilities at the helm of a quality defensive club.

That said, I doubt Phoeniz would do the deal.  Nelson's a nice player, but he's at his peak and not much of a draw for fans or other players.  I'd want a younger more dynamic talent in return for Steve Nash.
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

I really do feel for little Steve. I really want him to get a shot at a ring before he's Farve's age.

I can hardly think of a good team that wants or needs him.

Maybe Orlando. Na. The Knicks with Dantoni? No. Felton looks great.

The Lakers? Na. Screw the Lakers.

The Heat?  Yes the Heat. They need one more All star to win it all, maybe two.

So send Mike Miller, Haslem, House, and Carlos Arroyo Plus two #1's to the Heat for Super Steve and watch them fight over the ball, It would be fun to watch.

10.7 million compared to 10.3 million for Nash.

 Nash has two years left.

Post Script.  Celtics still win it all, and Crush the heat in Five games. Just looking for a little Comp, cause are team will win it this year.

a) I love Steve Nash and would hate to see him on the Heat

b) Steve is at his best when he can dominate the ball and work his magic.  The same applies to Wade and LeBron.  It would make no sense to add Nash to that equation.

I like Nash too, but I don't want him being traded to a contender if it hurts our C's chances. Trades to Miami or LAL would be bad. Someone mentioned Nash and Lopez for Bynum. Seems to make a lot of sense to me. I sure hope that conversation between the teams never takes place.

I don't know. Averaging 20 assists a game might appeal to him.

What makes you say that? His best option for assists would be Bosh lol. I doubt he would even average double-digits.

He is a primary ball-handler, Wade is a primary ball-handler, and LeBron is a primary ball-handler. See a problem? I do.

I don't have the exact numbers to back it up, but I'm sure that LeBron and Wade have two of the lower percentages in the league of FG's assisted on. They work best one-on-one, turn them into spot-up jumpshooters and they are not elite NBA players.

I would think maybe rather than do all the work themselves they might be ok with letting one of the best passers ever do a ton of that work for them.

Miller, Haslem, House, Arroyo, and 2 firsts? Steve Nash is good but i  mean thats a little over board...

I could totally see the Lakers trading for Nash and Bynum for Nash/Lopez would be a great idea for them.
