Boston 2
Miami 0

That's what I'm looking at. They have two more games to make me a believer.
And then if we see them again they'll get 7 to try something.

The Heat will lose to a team that has a PG who controls tempo, strong interior play and decent wing defense. Not many out there IMO. Dallas is next on their schedule that has any chance at beating them.

Strange Box Score... look at the +/- for the Miami Three. Anyways question answered, good work Mavs. If they hadn't misssed free throws and fouled on made shots it wouldn't have been so close.

So...has Miami won any games against actual contenders this season?  The Hawks and the Magic don't count.

Another good team, another loss for the Heat. No surprise here.

Who do you think are contenders?

Boston, LA, San Antonio, and maybe the Bulls. The magic maybe after the trade if it works for them.

Thanks Dallas ;D!

I must give you a Tommy Point for that one.

For Christmas? After thinking long and hard about it, I hope that LA and MIA have about 10 overtimes. Too bad there's no way for both of them to lose.

If the Wizards wouldn't have massively choked this would be two losses in the roll for them.

Who do you think are contenders?

Right now:

Celtics
Heat
Lakers
Mavs
Spurs

The Bulls might be when they're healthy, but I think they'll probably need another year to come together.  The Jazz as usual will have a great regular season but won't quite have enough at the end.  Oklahoma City is still another year or two and a significant piece away from really contending.  Atlanta is not a post-season threat as currently constituted.

I'm not sold on the Magic; I think they're actually a worse defensive team now, and they have less front court depth.  I wasn't scared of them before, and now I'm even less scared of them.

Lakers/Celtics have something in common. They aren't afraid of anyone with their depth.

Other than the Heat, the Celtics, Lakers, Spurs and Mavs are the safest choices now.

I believe the Heat are 0-4 against that group.
