Danny is on The Big Show right now and said Rondo will need to take a couple weeks off, two being what he said, but maybe the window will be confirmed soon. That's a tough blow though, being down to Nate and 'Quis. I guess Rondo was caught up in the moment last night when he said he'd be playing tonight, but realized that was wrong when he woke up with a swollen ankle. Bunk.

just heard danny ainge on the big show say that rondo will be out a couple of weeks because of last nights injury.

i am not happy at all, but i guess its better to let him heal now than for him to struggle down the stretch

We will be fine Nate fits right in, he's no Rondo but its not like this is a huge loss say if KG or even Ray went down.
"7ft PG. Rondo leaves and GUESS WHAT? We got a BIGGER point guard!"-Tommy on Olynyk

Not sure where you're going with that one. Sure, Nate is a great backup to have, but Rondo is the MVP of this team.  We'll be able to win games without him, but if he's out for an extended period of time, this team is in trouble.

Its funny how everyone seems to agree that this is a good thing.  This kid really needs to be saved from himself.

This is probably the best decision.

I think that unless this lasts for a few months you'd have to define trouble as going into the playoffs as a 2nd or 3rd seed.

I know rest is important as his injuries are building up, but I'm bummed that he will likely miss the Orlando game on xmas if the time table is right. If he takes off from now until Dec 31, that would be 7 games (the 7th game being against Chris Paul, which I really wanted to see). Oh well.

Good.

He needs to recover. The upcoming schedule is not that tough and Nate has been great for us. No need to push him.

Good. And I still expect our winning streak to continue. Nate is a starting point guard in this league.

Agreed. Nate can do it well enough he seems comfortable with the offense. I was happy when Doc put him in. Rondo was definitely not himself and Felton was going coast to coast easy. I wish Rondo wouldn't have tried to talk himself back in. However I like how he was dedicated to winning.
