This Celtics team is unbelievably great. They have almost no team left... they've got Nate making crazily stupid plays... Ray throwing the ball away at almost every opportunity... a bunch of rookies playing half the time...... and they end the half with a lead. Wow. Kudos to these guys. Really... amazing.

It's crazy that this isn't even the first time Nate has done that backcourt save to the other team this year.

Really, snively? I don't remember any such play. But I missed some of the early games.... but... I mean... HOW COULD HE DO IT TWICE??? It's.... **** INSANE!

He's making Tony Allen look like a smart ballplayer

Difference for me is.... I LIKE Nate. Hate to think he might be too stupid for this team.

Ok, ok.... can't take one (or 2) bonehead plays as the final word.... Maybe he was trying for the hot-dog play of scoring a couple of easy ones on a ball nobody could believe he'd touch... or something like that. It's still stupid, but at least not COMPLETELY insane.
Anything's possibbulllllll

He had one a couple weeks ago (forget the opponent: anyone else remember?) where he dove for it and rolled out of bounds before he could get the timeout.

I remember that. I forgot the opponent too, but I remember thinking at least he hustled and he learned his lesson. I guess not.

I have to agree with you there, Tony is in a league of his own.

hawks are missing their 2 best players and doing what they want tonight...boston needs to pick it up

Celts have 5 guys out of their 10 man rotation out injured. Give it a rest, man.

come on man...everyone has injuries. Cs still have enough talent to win games

i highly disagree that ATL has any advantage tonight

How many teams start a 4th string center. LAY OFF

Hawks started Jason Collins at center tonight. Boston has enough to win tonight. And their increased effort at the end of the half shows that
Go away seriously. You are being ridiculous. C's have no bench

+10000000000000000000

that is rich coming from you Vinnie

I try to be reasonable when the team for which I cheer is missing half its players, has no center and no point guard. That's all.

do you think even with the injuries Boston has enough to beat Atlanta tonight?

If Wafer, Bradley and Gody have to play key minutes, absolutely not

Wafer went to the locker room with an injury, so we may be even worse off than we were in the 1st half.

i think Doc can't play those guys together for long stretches...but really they are going to have to win games for the near future with these guys.

I think Nate knew KG was running back, but didn't know a 2nd Hawk (Bibby?) was back too, because he was charging the ball.  If it's 2 on 1 that's usually a good play, because the cutter gets an easy dunk.  2 on 2 it's awful.

  • It's not hard to work hard.
All things considered, Celts are performing well. I still wouldn't be surprised if last night caught up to them and the Hawks pull a W, but it's a long season.

It'd be nice to think that the only reason the Celtics could ever lose would be "effort," but that's not reality when you're talking about any professional ballclub, let alone a playoff team like the Hawks.
McHale's favorite ruse is putting paper in the mouths of sleeping teammates. "Try using one of these cocktail napkins," he said. "When just the edge sticks out of a guy's mouth, it looks like he's got fangs. The best part is when he wakes up."

Yeah, with our streak and our personnel we're playing with house money.  An L's gonna get us sooner or later, though I hope it's not tonight.

What's funny is that we're all seeing a lack of depth because we've only got 3 future HOFers out there  :)  Crazy how much talent this team has.

Well... we're getting down to desperation time. Not enough bodies. But at least we can take comfort from knowing that Jermaine "TPA" O'Neal is getting a nice, long rest. He SURELY deserves it, don't you think? (Oh no?!?! Well, ask JO... he'll tellya.)

TPA = Terminal Performance Anxiety. His "injury" involves cowering in the corner, unable to see through the tears. #!$@##^%!@#$!@#!@##$@#$%

For all the complaining about Sheed last year (much of it deserved, of course), I would 100% take Sheed over Jermaine. At least Sheed will bring it when it counts.

Also, Ray comes out on fire!

Josh Smith with a brutal offensive game thus far, but he's my #1 choice to replace KG when the time comes.

Ray is downright scary when he gets hot, because with the way he gets his points there's really no way you can keep him from getting a look.  As much as he moves, you can't keep a hand in his face for 24 seconds straight.

Fun to watch, and I imagine it's frustrating as heck for other teams.
