Rondo with one of the laziest, dumbest halves of basketball i've seen from him since his second year. Passed up 3 layups, walking the ball up, not being aggressive against the swiss cheese D of the knicks, passing the ball too late to the post, etc.

I don't have a problem with the defense...they are throwing up a bunch of stuff that is going in. The Celt defense is based on closing down the interior and forcing teams to the perimeter. The Knicks are making a bunch of shots.

The problem is the offense (Doc was right). No way the C's should only have 51 points against the Knicks. The C's should attack the basket constantly. The Knicks have no size inside or shot blockers.

On a separate note, I still hate the JO signing and always will.
They did hit a bunch of defended shots. They have no guarantee that those contested shots will continue to fall.

Celtics really played poor defense for much of the half. Amar'e did make some ridiculous shots, but for the most part, the Knicks had tons of open looks and missed a lot of them. They need to tighten the D significantly in the second half or the win streak ends at 10. Amar'e should score 75 against the Heat Friday -- LOL

The knicks missed a ton of open looks?

are you serious with this?

I mean ill definitely agree with you that they got to many open looks, but i didn't see much missing going on.

Rondo should have at six to 8 more points in that half. He is playing super stupid basketball tonight. And don't forget, the Celts have no center tonight. I give them a break if they lose this one. By the way, does Bill Walker still play for the Knicks?

1) Knicks cant miss a shot, contested, ridiculously hard, miracle, they are making every type of shot ever known to man.
2) Stoudemire is the best player in the league right now.
3) Can the C's get a foul call?

If those shots keep going in for the Knicks no amount of defense will help. It's called being on fire and some good luck

Rondo had 3 wide open layups but instead passed the ball out for no apparent reason?

Are the Celtics just toying with the Knicks to make the game entertaining or what?

Paiging Glen Davis:  It is time to get a rebound.  Just 1.  Something.

Semih is awful.  Man, I really wish the Celtics had Shaq for this game!

Semih is back to being absolutely terrible, hes the tallest guy on the court yet he cant grab a rebound. His last game was a fluke.

Eight offensive rebounds for the Knicks. That's about it.

Seems a lot of us are in agreement in our frustration over Rondo.

He needs to adjust his play to the defense.

Stoudemire is clearly MVP right now, but there is a long way to go. No one is playing close to his level.

Which is exactly why the Knicks, as long as Dantoni is there coach, will never win a title.  Sure...they're better, they're a little more legit now, they're a playoff team.  But Carmelo or no Carmelo, not winning a title.  Teams with this type of play just can't win titles...they can win a playoff series, maybe...MAYBE 2...but eventually, just like hot streaks, you get cold streaks.

He has his reasons (p.f.' hammy etc) but I would say that he seems at times to play bored if not feeling the challenge.
