It's pretty "interesting" how frequently this guy gets assigned to marquee games involving the Celtics.

(Edited for accuracy): In the last 10 games he's ref'd (since April '09), the Celtics are just 4-6 - including game 3 of the Finals.

That's certainly less than the Celtics' winning percentage over that timeframe.

In the road game vs the Mavs, the Celtics shot a season-low 7 fts (making them all) in a 2-pt loss to the Mavs, who shot 20.

Strangely, points in the paint was 38-32, Celtics. Rebounds? 42-38 Celtics.

I can't wait to see how this plays out tonight...

Isn't their a ref that Mavs are 1-14 with him refing?

I'm not too concerned about it honestly. I'd have to look at the schedule and opponents to calculate what sort of expected winning percentage I'd expect in his ten games before I'd get all "conspiracy theory" about it.

Bottom line, if the C's play their best ball any slight bias he might or might not have won't matter. Instead they'll win by a comfortable margin.

it's tough enough with no Shaq

Amare may shoot 20 FT's alone tonight.

this already has me upset.

He has averaged 6 FTA the last six games, I don't think he'll shoot 20.

Though if we have BBD/Semih guard him for too many minutes he could easily get into double digits.

If the Celtics are able to win this game starting their 4th string center, it will be a huge accomplishment. I am still one of these guys who is not crazy about Semih playing a lot of minutes despute what he did against a horrendous Charlotte team. This could be a long night for the Celts. The Shaq thing has me worried, as he has been out a week now.

your info is wrong.

Celtics have won 4 in last 7 with Kennedy, not 3.
most recently @ Bulls. Plus they covered 5 and pushed 1.

I thought Kennedy was now more lenient and a bit more fair this year, him and Doc now seem the best of buddies Doc is constantly patting his butt now lol

Hell at least it's not Crawford
"7ft PG. Rondo leaves and GUESS WHAT? We got a BIGGER point guard!"-Tommy on Olynyk

Thanks - apparently I can't count before morning coffee - I'll edit. TP for the catch - but it is 4 out of 10, not 4 of 7!

Am I going crazy or is your information way wrong?

I count us as 4-6 with Kennedy on the games. Ah, so you said 7 instead of 10? and then 5-4-1 ATS. Just want to clarify.

For those who don't know the backstory between Kennedy and Rivers, do a web search on "Bill Kennedy Doc Rivers homosexual".
I wasn't aware of the C's record with him as the ref, but I guess I'm not surprised by it.

Wow.

I knew about the incident where Doc was T'd and fined $25 K in '09 for saying "What"? to Kennedy, (who was also fined), but I hadn't seen Donaghy's 2 cents...
